Persepolis Medley performed by NUS Guitar Ensemble as part of Aventura, held at School of the Arts, Singapore, on 31 March 2024.
Persepolis Medley is taken from the soundtrack of Persepolis, a French animated film based on Marjane Satrapi's autobiographical graphic novel. The story follows a young girl as she comes of age against the backdrop of the 1979 Iranian Revolution and notes the development of politics and human rights in Iran after the revolution.

About us 🎸
NUS Guitar Ensemble (GENUS) is a student-run guitar ensemble located in the National University of Singapore, and a member of NUS Centre For the Arts. With an over 40-year-long history, the group boasts a wide repertoire ranging from major classical works to Japanese anime themes. In accordance with the Niibori method, GENUS utilises a set of guitars with varying pitches to produce an orchestral effect.
