the violist is not messing around with her bow. it's always crisp and short. oh my god. how does she do it?

ollie roberts practice staccato
@musicstuff6985 жыл бұрын
ollie roberts it helps you get that distinct sound at the beginning of the note
@narutoninjagoandtheflashar42565 жыл бұрын
ollie bee I’m not a violist, but practice staccato. It will help you. I’ve had to practice it on the violin too to not move my bow around everywhere when it’s not necessary. Sure, often your teacher will tell you to use more bow on a song, but there are times when you have to use less bow too on some songs.

You need to have that energy of keeping the notes very short and crisp

the violist is amazing. her crisp bows. wow.

Zoe Anthos her bowing seemed really awkward. She was using way too much bow for those 16th notes

I feel like it would’ve been better with a bass. I know that kills the point of a quartet, but it was missing a layer of depth
@narutoninjagoandtheflashar42565 жыл бұрын
kayleigh but the basses are very underrated sometimes. They barely get interesting parts to play. For example, they play the same notes on that same string over and over again. I’ve taken Orchestra and there are basses in my class, and I’ve seen it happen.

@@narutoninjagoandtheflashar4256 bass is my fav nobody pays attention to the bass tho it still makes everything sound better

This was originally a piece for orchestra so there are bass parts I think

Yeah it fr was. Quartets are amazing but the bass rly adds weight to any piece.

The cellist was also playing the top notes only so at some chords it didn’t feel like it had a bass line at all

Cornelia Haugabook ikr. It should have been “that was the best thing I’ve ever heard” along with some claps and shoutouts. I watched the whole thing how each of them played and they all stayed together without speeding up or slowing down. Their vibratos were great and so is their pitch and intonation.

@musicstuff6985 жыл бұрын
Adrian's Channel a quartet can’t play the emerald falcon. It has solo parts, lots of divisi and it has a bass solo
@narutoninjagoandtheflashar42565 жыл бұрын
If y’all want a really fast song that used absolutely NO bow, try Pizzicato Blues or Pizzicato Magic. But remember, it’s a song mainly about pizziing, so you will find yourself speeding up. We had to practice forever to finally be together. It was really hard cuz we actually spent forever on that song to try and perfect it. Songs with pizzing are hard due to us wanting to speed up.
@yuripark4566 жыл бұрын
i think the first violinist was pretty good (except her tremolo) and the cellist was really good with being in tune. its pretty hard to be a good cellist. The second violin and viola were also good, but could use a bit more work in playing together as a group and intonation.
