Excellent!!! Excellent!!! Thank you Elder Jones, Blessings To You! One thing that stood out to me in this lesson, (there were many), but for me The Trinity was 1) Ask= Authority (God); 2) Seek= Savior (Jesus); 3) Knock= Knowing (Holy Spirit our helper) as we go to our Father in prayer... I loved the breakdown of “Importunity”... I thought about the times we are now living in, “Would any of us go to a friends house at midnight before texting or calling?” My mind took a side journey, that would be quite dangerous you would probably encounter a shootout or be met with a weapon in hand (funny but not funny)! Verse 13, I always wondered why it seemed to be out of context here, (Verses 9-13) we share with people that have a question about the Baptism in The Holy Ghost, so why all of a sudden now we go from perseverance in prayer etc., to asking for the Holy Ghost. God has a sense of humor (to me), I love when this happens!! Thanks for helping me understand verse 13 better WOW makes me happy 😊... 💯 Thumbs Up!!!

Thank you for teaching this lesson. Great and informative as always. All of the lesson was good. But two parts in particular you spoke about resonated with me one was when you talked about how the man was specific in his petition to his friend. Also when you said God maybe waiting for you to make up your mind to see if that’s what you really want. I remember almost 20 years ago I was talking to a family member about purchasing a new home. Then in the middle of the conversation I clearly heard the Lord speak to me and He even called me by my name and said you never asked me for a brand new home. Wow knocked me off my feet. I stopped speaking to the person and said ok Lord I am asking you for a brand new home. But I must admit I must I be didn’t believe he said yes as you said in your lesson because when I went looking for a home I was looking at homes that people lived in already and new homes. One morning after looking for months I clearly heard God speak to me again as I got up out of my bed He said make up your mind what you want a new house or one lived in already. From that moment on in faith I only looked at new homes and homes to be built. God blessed my husband and I and we had a home built. Sometime I think we aren’t specific because we don’t even believe that God will do that for us so we just make a vague prayer. But if we really believe we can make it as big as we need or want it to be and God can and will do what we desire if it is in his will. Especially if he has already said yes to us.

Peace and Blessings and PTL Pastor Jones...you know in Daniel where I believe the angle told Daniel....Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and ... God has listened to your prayers since the first day you humbly asked for ?. I always thought that we make our petitions known to God....He heard them and now we thank Him in advance for it for by faith we will receiveHis response. But as we continue to ask for the same thing we are doubting that He hears or heard our first petition....

Praise the Lord and long time no here from. Great statement about prayer. If you noticed in this lesson is a picture of a person who kept asking for the same thing until he got it. Jesus put that lesson the floor to teach us it's ok to ask until we have an answer. Daniel had a complete different situation, his answer was held up by satan

Great question and based on my reading of the scriptures, my answer would be no, because the Holy Spirit gives these gifts. I believe this gift of tongues is part of the spiritual gifting in 1 Corinthians
