It's really a shame that Martine was used as only a piece of that unneeded love story between Shaw and Root. She wasn't a helpless woman as shown in this episode.

Root's fight scenes are the worst scenes of the show. Even her two gun action, which I've never enjoyed, is much better!

If you remember she never really fought before in the show, she always depended on her guns and tasers. For some reason in this season 4 the writers decided to have her fight even though we never saw her had any training or military background, it just came out of the blue really
