Don't be afraid to use those really expensive weapons you bought! Physical attacks are NOT second class fillers in this game, and when you don't know weaknesses yet, using the FREE basic attacks is usually a smart move, rather than the physical skills that cost you health. Because there are 3 different types of physical damage in this game (unlike P4 or P5), it's often good to use those basic attacks to either quickly find a weakness or quickly rule them out before you start spending health or mana. :)

Oh yeah, another tip for readers... always accept ALL the quests Elizabeth has listed as available. Some items you need won't drop unless the quest is active, and unlike P3 Portable, there's no limit to how many you can have active at one time. In P3P, you could only have 3 active at once, so you had to try to pick and choose what was most likely to be doable.

I don't have any kids or younger siblings so maybe I'm off base here but is that really that bad? I feel like it's better to be honest to the kid, plus it'll help them understand it isnt their fault
@DingoEnderZOE210 ай бұрын
@@thepooper5544 It all depends on how much you care about maintaining the innocence of a child's belief that their parents will always be together. Granted implying that its her fault her parents are getting a divorce would be the most evil thing you could say to her regardless if its true or not, in this situation since you don't know the parents personally it would be better to share in her confusion(the "I don't know") of her parents situation instead of make a possibly true assumption that would directly shatter her beliefs.

@@thepooper5544 One of the recurrent mistakes I see streamers make with this game is that they keep answering social link questions as "themselves" (i.e. This is what *I* would say) rather than what the social link wants to hear. I know it sounds bad, but that's basically how they designed social links for these Persona games. The point is to get to know the social links well enough to know what *they* want to hear/would respond the best to, not necessarily how *you* yourself would respond. So all of that basically to say, yeah if you're a logical adult, falling out of love might seem like the obvious answer. But when talking to a child (and in particular to this girl who already made it obvious she blames herself like most kids) saying they fell out of love might leave them wondering if that's their fault. If you tell them you don't know (because let's face it, we don't know them, we don't know what their motivations are) then you at least leave it open for them to draw their own conclusions.

Always remember to look at new items you get, and look for chests you missed, especially the story chests on the boss floors. I notice you had 2 of them you didn't open the first time because you didn't have enough twilight fragments.... those almost always have really good things, often new gear. That toy bow you got, for example, is a really good weapon for Yukari-chan. It only shows up on the equip screen though, so if you're relying on just what you see in the shop, you won't know that you already have something better in your inventory and may kick yourself for wasting money later. :)

Oda Nobunaga was the first of the great unifiers of Japan, alongside Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu. Hideyoshi would eventually bring all of Japan under one rule, and then Ieyasu would take over as shogun. I learned this by playing the excellent "alternate history" strategy game from the PlayStation 2 era, Kessen. So, while it was someone's real name, the guy on the forum is using it as a handle. ;)

And just because I'm old and used to repair TV's for a living, I'll comment that Junpei is RIGHT! But not for the reason you probably think. TV's used to have lots of discrete components, and many of them had parts that generated lots of heat, like power transistors and transformers. And it wasn't unusual for the solder joins connecting them together to decay over time, in which case SMACKING the TV would jiggle the connections back into place... for a little while. :)

LOL, emojis are way older than 2009. We used them in text MUDs (multiplayer online games like World of Warcraft, but all in text) back in 1992. :) was a smile, ;) was a wink, XD was grinning wide with your eyes squeezed shut. Look at them sideways and they make sense. They became graphical later as we got instant messenger systems like ICQ, and eventually smart phones.

Hehehe, you should get over your fear of combat. Don't think of shadows as scary monsters, think of them as walking lootboxes just begging you to crack them open! I always start from the beginning of the block (which in this video is Thebal, level 2) because the early levels you'll probably be high enough level that the shadows run away from you, which means you almost always get advantage and can mow them down for loot easily and quickly. Of course, if you want the boss fights to be harder, NOT leveling is a valid strategy, but you can also just flip it to hard for those. :) You seem to be having fun though, and that's the main thing!
@matthewweber39043 ай бұрын
Yup. And not battling shadows during exploration is leaving XP and items on the table--if she had fought the shadows instead of avoiding them, Yukari would have been leveled enough to use Media, making the boss fight a lot easier!

This P3 Remake is so good! They need to make a P4 remake like this one, that's my fav Persona game, and the first videogame that made me cry.

Heh, FFXIV's crafting is nice, but Everquest 2 was terrifying @alanamisako. In EQ2, you used to have to craft in crafting instances, and there were always lots of people there since crafting required cross-craft sub-combines and thus people traded services. But when you failed in the minigames there, your character took actual damage and could DIE from a critical failure. :)

I hate those treasure hands... I most of the time I lack the twitch reflexes to catch them on the map anyways. One thing the game doesn't really describe well is how your stats affect combat. The most important thing is the level of your persona, and the strength or magic attribute it has. A level 10 cast of bufu will do more damage than a level 5 one. A cast by a persona with 40 MA does more damage than one with 20 MA. The skill rank itself seems to be a multiplier, so Bufu (rank 1) does less than Bufula (rank 2)... but it's possible for a higher level or higher MA stat persona to do more damage with Bufu than a weak one does with Bufula. Soooo, it's useful to have one persona that has lots of different affinities just to find out what things are weak to, but once you know, it's more handy to have specialists who are higher level to pour on the damage. If they specialize, they can also take boost skills and skills to shore up their own weaknesses too.

You should hang out with Kenji. If all the social link characters were always likeable, there'd be no room for growth in their stories, right? Not saying that he grows, or doesn't... but some of the best characters in fiction start out as really horrible people who become amazing later. Besides, you want to find out what happens with his secret plan, right?

@quixadhal9 ай бұрын
Heh,, well, it's not really a day wasted when your social link doesn't advance. You would have had to spend time to boost it somehow anyways, which can be spending an "unproducitve" session with them, or using the draw fortune box at the shrine. There is another way, but it's not available until later in the game, so it's a spoiler now.

Japan is not like America. Kids are not coddled and treated like infants until they graduate high school, and high school is actually optional (for historical reasons). It's normal for grade school kids to clean their own classrooms and the hallways instead of janitors, because it teaches them good habits. Likewise, the disciplinary committee is made up of students and handles violations of school rules as long as they aren't actual criminal. Again, the idea is to teach them responsibility and to work as part of the society around them, rather than hyper individualists who assume others will do whatever they don't do.
@matthewweber39043 ай бұрын
That's one way of explaining it; of course, there is a dark side to Japanese conformism, as there is to Western individualism.

Well it's not that he's technically wrong, it's just that he's making some people uncomfortable with his approach and personality, that's all. He came in too fast and too strong and enter your personal space way too fast. Much like Junpei, but Junpei is funny, more likable and easy-going, he's not. Kinda hard to explain, but he's kinda annoying, at least that's what I feel.
