Regarding Femc, it's worth noting that a mod for both versions of p3p is coming out soon which adds the original animated cutscenens back, including redrawn ones for the Femccc?? The lack of cutscenes was my only real gripe with portable, so this is pretty hype for me. Since you already have NG+ data for Portable that might be worth considering for a potential female playthrough

I’ve seen the progress videos for the redrawn scenes, they’re really cool! And I will do NG+ eventually, but I need to take some time after reload before hopping right into one of the older titles

Justice for FeMC indeed. I'll have to just stick with the PSP version. I kinda understood when they said that they want to be true to the original but then adding the content for FeMC and not adding the FeMC herself is hurtful for me : ( maybe because i was younger and FeMC and Theo as assistant were my first persona experience but this remake really missed being the best possible way to play one of my fav games ever created. Maybe next year or so we'll get P3 reload, golden, royal which will be the definitive edition

i ALSO brought junpei and akihiko for the lovers fight, even though i really don’t like akihikos skills as a party member early on, solely for the reason that a junpei/akihiko implied gay sex scene is really funny

the game needed 3 different social links for track club athletes but had no time to finish baking Ikutsuki as an antagonist or flesh out Strega in the early game lmao

Thanks! And yeah parts of the game are quite sad, I think I’d be really emotional if the story wasn’t one I was pretty familiar with. Also the Wendy Williams clip never gets old 😂

Good video as always! Justice for FeMC, her absence is felt. It's wild that we now have 4 versions of P3 and none of them are definitive. putting a spacer in here because I wanna mention a spoiler for this and Persona 5 . . . . . . . . . . So because I did in fact "call" Ikutsuki years ago (haven't played Reload): it's not that he's obvious as a twist villain because it was foreshadowed (it wasn't), as much as it's easy to recognize that a twist villain is likely and he's the only remaining character developed enough to fit the bill. Dark hour but no persona, only adult in the room making him the odd one out, and especially that there's no social link despite his proximity to the player. I don't like him! He kinda sucks! P3 is generally better written than P5 but Akechi feels like the better execution of his concept in that they give him a bit more distance, personality, and material.

Justice for FeMC! Ohhh yeah I can see how *REDACTED* seems sus in a way that has more to do with writing convention/structure than an actual narrative thread. I still think it’s not done very well but now I get why, with fresh eyes, this is more apparent. The other takes I saw were just like “to me it was SO obvious” without getting into the ‘why’. Thanks for watching!
