Already did lol but... this was my first persona game I've played and it certainly was a treat. 10/10 despite my gripes with the game. Now onto NG+.

I think one of my biggest problems about Persona 5 compared to P3 is that half the characters in P5 feel kinda irrelevant after they gain their Personas while every character in P3 feels relevant and I like how P3 character exist outside of the MC.

I'm a massive fan of Persona 3 and this is undeniably the best version and also the best Persona game. And my favorite SMT game broadly

I only recently started playing P3 Reload and it's amazing how it manages to be both faithful to the original and a completely new and unique experience. For me, there were quite a few things that held me back from enjoying the original P3 and many of them have to do with how it aged. I'm happy that P3 got the remake it deserved and that the remake offers a great way for new fans to experience it while also giving older fans something new.

I've been thinking about getting back into persona 5 too! Probably after my time with ff7 rebirth or maybe persona 4 if I ever have the time!

Still a fantastic system, I think it took a step back from P5R overall. I love having 3 physical damage types, and while it is one less affinity that P5 had overall, it makes physical and strength much more op in general which is a balancing issue. Why use magic at all? The combat is just not as fun without technicals, imo.

Graphics wise this game looks better than persona 5 makes the turn based much easier to like to those who aren’t big fans of it

Played through considerable amounts of the psp and ps2 versions of the games, but never got to finish it because of save issues and loss of consoles, reload is done so well. Finishing persona games is the important part, with this game in particular considering its ending and what happens towards the last few months 😭. Memories of you genuinely makes me cry inside

I'm glad everyone's having discussions down here. I make these videos in joy of being able to share opinions with each viewer so it can make for a more peaceful conversation. Yeah it may boost my video up, but what really matters is voices can be heard fairly and at the end of the day were just nerds wanting to play some good ol' games and express our love for these titles. Thanks for watching :)

Beat it yesterday. Very solid 9/10 for me. Would be a 10 if the first few months had more than five minutes of main plot.

I got into the series with Persona 5 Royal which holds a special place in my heart but Persona 3 is my favorite and Reload makes it a whole lot better, way better then Persona 5

I think the Reaper is disappointing. I have never seen the Reaper unless actually waiting on him or the rare Dark Room. This game is streamlined to hell and back. anything "frustrating " is gone. i mean in vanila Persona 3. Teammare are AI controled, Teammates can get tired, from tired they can get sick. if someone is tired they will leave Tartarus on there own, once you return to entrance. and sick dont want to go to Tararus at all. If you are tired, you get hit by critcal more easy and its longer to get up which could be gameover. sickness is the same as tiredness but it takes 2 days to recover. The point is it is really easy to get killed in Vanila Persona 3, we dont want to return to the entrance because our teammate will leave and that means we haven't saved in over a hour. At that point the Reaper strikes real fear into your soul. That sounds very bad sure. maybe it is. but vanilla Persona 3 still is the most rewarding gameplay cycle i have ever played in my life.

I think I know the real reason I never see the Reaper. once you fill out the floor you can skip to the next floor. I don't fight regular enemies. i dont see a need to if i can spawn rare shadows. New problems the teammates i use are 40 levels higher then the ones i don't. I know theres a clock but its rarer than the Dark Room it only levels two guys up 16 levels. it should be nice that theres a tool to keep under used teamates leveled but its over complicated

I wish they retained the down mechanic, there was so much dread in getting downed you WISHED to get hit again just so you get up again. And it made the strategy in downing enemies more interesting. I mean, why would you say no to an All Out Attack? That is, unless they stood up after one, letting them get a turn to attack. Sometimes you wanted to wait on a downed enemy and make them waste a turn. Let's not forget that multi-target attacks that down every enemy except one didn't give you a one more, so you had to down them individually if you wanted more turns after. The tired mechanic was frustrating at first because during the first month, you did nothing. Then later, you would get bored/finish the floors without getting tired once. The problen was getting sick. I'm sure the great status mattered in higher diffculty, but it did little for a casual run. Nyx felt like chump, honestly. That was infamous for being hard and long, and it had little to do with having no control over your teamtes. Theurgies, while cool, broke the game. Suddenly dealing 1500 damage, ignoring resistances, plus buffs? Goodbye strategy, just hit it 'til it dies. I think the game is good, but some changes removed the strategic value of the fights. Bosses were infamous, not for hiting hard, but because they were like strategic puzzles, and not being prepared meant suffering. Getting steamrolled was not only possible but easy if you made a mistake. Using physical attacks was also dreadful because of this, and people wouls default to your weapons... lets not forget missing with a weapon also meant you slipped and got Downed. Say goodbye to your plan. The game wasn't unfair, but it was a nail-biting experience. Enemies could get downed when they missed too, and that was made for celebrations. Can't forget loving Junpei for that. For all the good battle changes they made, they also removed good things they didn't have to. I like controlling the party was added, and the addition of damage based Dark and Light attacks (additional to instakill), but the rest of the changes were questionable.

Persona 3 has always been my personal favorite persona game even though persona 5 is really a huge improvement overall. I'm actually quite suprised that you not like p5 that much. It does seem like Atlus is doing very good jobs remaking this game.
