Sure Nyx Avatar voice wasn't as ominous/scary like previous game,but i kinda like it because with this version tone of voice,you can feel Ryoji/Thanatos personality seeping out from it,and if people remember,in myth Thanatos was god of peaceful death, making this Nyx Avatar/Ryoji/Thanatos sounds like even if he has to defeat us,he doesn't like it,he sounds like he completely resigned towards his duty and trying to kill us as peaceful as possible as sign of mercy

You take the pokemon with the 2nd highest base stat total in the entire game a plus 2 to all stats and you have a recipe for an absolute nightmare of a fight.

In case you don't know, Philemon was the dude that gave the power of persona to humanity just to win a bet with an Outer God, and Igor is his servant. His avatar is the blue butterfly you see in every game from Persona 3 onward. Maya would laugh at Nyx and also mop the floor with Ameno-Sagiri and Yabaldaoth.

Nyarlathotep, the villain from P2, one of the Old Ones from H.P Lovecraft's Chtulhu mythos, threatened reality just by existing, and Maya beat him as well. Persona 3 completely changed the tone and gameplay the series to make it more about social interactions and metaphysical battles over the psyche of humanity and less about mortals who could fight gods on even ground.
