In the localizations, yeah. In the original script, they used N-Jima for the protagonist and Y-ko for Ms. Toriumi as references to the original Famicom Megami Tensei game/book. They swapped it to Tatsuya and Maya in the localization back in the day (and kept the change here) since Persona 2: Eternal Punishment was released in the USA back in 2000. The game name was also changed from Devil Busters Online (a Megami Tensei II reference) to Innocent Sin Online (the subtitle of the first Persona 2) to tie in the whole reference change. In addition, Reload added a new mugshot for her avatar that acts as a huge reference to the Heroine from Shin Megami Tensei 1 on the SNES/PS1. This social link is a pretty solid nod to the classic games in general.
