PERSONA 3 SPOILERS: I love how in his game, Akihiko's character was about him feeling powerless not being able save his sister, only focusing on getting stronger due to that reason and not fixing the weak mind of his. He fully resolved that through the guilt of not being able to save a close friend because of his centric focus on power. The resolution made him have a change of heart, awakened a stronger and more powerful persona as result. But in his spinoffs games, it's just about him and protein. I love it, though lmao

From what I've heard in the japanese version of P3 Akihiko is obsessed with protein and training, though I don't know if the whole deal with his sister is there too, they changed a lot of his dialogue in the english translation to make him more serious, along with most of the game itself. The problem is that they kept him the same for the spinoffs, reverting him back to the japanese version of his character, rather than keeping him as the more serious version we got in the translation.

@Acidic Reaver funny you should mention that, in a P6 story idea I’m working on, Naoto and Kanji are married and Kanji started his on line of chibi knitted cellphone straps called Tatsu-minis. The only ones he makes that he never releases are a chibi version of himself and Naoto which he made for a wedding anniversary. He gave the chibi Kanji to Naoto and kept the chibi Naoto for himself so that they’d alway be together even when they’re apart (they even have instructions that those Tatsu-minis are to either be put in a museum together or buried with them after they pass)!
