Crazy how many people got into this series thru Persona 5. I remember when Persona 4 came out on PS2 and the discourse was that Persona 4 was too mainstream and brought too many "casuals" into the fambase lol. But in hindsight, the series was still pretty niche even back then. Like people had no idea what mainstream really was. Honestly, though, I'm glad Persona is getting more accessible and more people are getting into the series.

Just in case it matters to anyone, to maybe save you some time if you decide to watch these and then go rummaging through Twitch VODs to watch the rest: She says a little bit into the playthrough that she *may* have been spoiled on the overall antagonist (though based on what she says it is fairly clear it was a dead on spoiler - so she knows going through this). Also later on she said she had a certain main character detective's "backstory" spoiled for her because of an image in discord. So, she's not exactly going through all of this blind but figured I'd put it out there in case that sort of thing matters to people. Also, not sure if she's aware but in her VODs, the parts are labeled Part 12, 13, etc but there's an entire month and a half gap (8/2 - 9/18) between Parts 13 and 14. Not sure where the missing footage is but it kind of skips over the conclusion of one of the bosses.

If Persona 4 gets a remake where it looks like p3 reload with new art and models and the dungeons act like palaces from p5 and of course do all the quality of life stuff, I think I will end up dying, but before that I will destroy my copy of p5 since a p4 remake will bump p5 down as my favorite persona game and jrpg game of all time.

If P4 ever gets bumped up to P5R level of quality then yeah it will easily become the best entry in the franchise. As long as they don't add yet another character that acts like Marie did in Golden. I don't hate her but unlike Kasumi in Royal, Marie did feel a tad bit forced into the story lol

Before you make fun of Stinky Stanky and the Doodoo graphics of this game... Remember that the original Persona 4 was a PlayStation 2 game.

It is a bit jarring going from P5R graphics to P4G but once you get going you don't really notice it. It's like playing Tokyo Xanadu XE after playing P5R.

Honestly the story, voice acting and characters are so good you end up forgetting the graphics pretty early on. I remember playing Golden pretty recently and compared to recent games I couldn't care less about the wonky graphics (I played it on the switch), I just loved the gameplay and reliving the character moments

@@VisualEnjoyer9756 As someone going through these games for the first time now: I started with P3R, then P4G, and the overall gameplay between 3 and 4 is similar enough that the backpedal in graphics was hardly noticeable. Playing P5R right now though and that jump was JARRING lol

Persona wasn't even on my Radar on release. And I played basically every mainline game.. although I don't think I would of appreciated it years back.

Fyi the main character has the same voice actor as tohru oikawa (seijoh captain from haikyuu), I think that's the series that you reacted to in your main channel as in now.. So too bad the main character (yuu narukami) in this game, doesn't do the voice like in the anime haha

Personal 4 Golden was my first Persona and still my favorite. But Persona 3’s Paulownia Mall song is my favorite song in the series.

The gameplay, especially the dungeon design did not age that well, but I like the story and characters more in this one. Edit: I don't know anything about the cat, but I would die for him/her.

The dungeons are a bit annoying to navigate but tbh I prefer the dungeon crawling in P4 than the annoying Mementos in P5. I dreaded having to go back to Mementos in P5 to grind but in P4 I actually loved going back to the dungeons and grinding for hours to level and maxing out Margarets Social Link
