I found that P4's Margaret is defo easier than Elizabeth. I mean in terms of preparation you can deal with Elizabeth of course, but with Margaret you can still sorta get by with whatever you have just before the battle. No 9999 Megidolaon bullshit if you 'break' the rule like Elizabeth. And tbh as far as I'm concerned, convo and atmosphere wise I like Margaret's better since you can actually defeat her by actually draining her HP while with Elizabeth, she would cast Diarahan every time her HP reaches 40% so you need a special item to deal enough damage before her HP reaches that stage. Also I havent beaten Elizabeth lol never got the time to properly do it

I have a feeling that the bookmarks are meant to symbolise something else, all of the velvet room attendants seem to carry around the same tome and my theory is that they are a part of the tome in some way. I think the tome contains 'fate' as in like a timeline of everything in existence and the velvet room attendants are manifestations from the tome. With this I think the bookmark may be intended to be their souls as the bookmark would be used to keep the tome open at a certain page (certain moment in time). This theory could be fleshed out a lot further with more study into the game but this is my theory as present.

I actually leveled base Izanagi up to 99 because I was bored and wanted to see if I could beat the game with one persona, but then I lost the charge cable and 2 years later I stopped caring and wanted the true end and threw that goal out the window.

I’ll give you a warning of the end’s spoilers, assuming you haven’t played Persona 3’s The Answer, or The Journey even: The protagonist gives his life to become the seal between humanity and death. He dies at the end of The Journey, and is discovered to be the seal in The Answer. It is mentioned after the fight with Margaret that Marie(?) is looking for a way to free him of his fate as a seal. Whether this means he gets to come back to life or just move on to heaven, I wish I could see a conclusion.

I had to go through the entire game again because I missed the true ending and lost my save data... and I just know I’m going to end up replaying it again for this boss fight. Not anytime soon, but any scrape of extra content this game offers is worth another 50+ hour playthrough to me. Edit: 6 months later, just killed Margaret. Took me a few hours getting the right personas with the right skills but eventually I managed to solo her. It got even easier when she started using Yoshitsune because the 3 personas I used either blocked or absorbed physical.

How in the heck can you max all social links in one play through? I’m on my third new game plus still trying to platinum this game.

I found that spending time with the fox or Ayane (music) on rainy days helped a ton. Night time actions play a critical role too. If a daytime social link is wandering outside at night, and there’s no jobs to do, it’s a good idea to spend time with them for the boost. If not, then 200 yen is money well spent at the shrine. Avoid hanging out with social links in the day that aren’t ready to progress, but always hang out or make lunch for those characters at night. And prioritize Adachi in the early game. Tl;dr: Take advantage of the rain and the night. Also don’t rush Marie since she will be available to hangout almost every day later in the game.

Excalibur Guess what Persona 3 wouldn't happen if not for Tatsuya's sacrifices. Shit they went through? Tatsuya had to save the world TWICE from the strongest entity of the Persona series Nyarlathotep, and what do he get as a reward? He gets sent back to his original universe (which is the universe of Innocent Sin where the bad guys won, 99% of the people are dead, and his friends and family are all gone) to live there until he dies, alone. He is more like Jesus than Makoto because he took all the Original Sin from the first p2 game and take it with him to his original world, it's an eternal punishment for him. And also he punched Philemon in the face, you know, the dude who gave Makoto, Yu, and their friends their Personas. If you played both Persona 2 games you wouldn't be arguing with me now. Edit: And unlike P3 and P4, he operated alone 60% of the time in Persona 2.Not to mention his frickin Persona can stop time~

You might be right that in Persona 4 vanilla, she is relatively easy. but (1) Random Inheritance skills (2) Doing 5 personae ingredient transfer skills to Yoshitsune will burn you out. (3) No skill cards to overwrite abilities. well yeah. oh btw, you are correct that there are multiple ways to fight margaret. I did it recently in Vanilla version. just a bonus to Margaret challengers, make a persona that has (1) as video said, Enduring Soul (2) Firm Stance- Half damage receive but cannot evade. This will make her standard megidolaon damage to about 150 or 225
