Same here, mate. I was originally introduced via P3, but I disliked the overly dark and edgy tone that I didn't even want to try P4 at first, but as a friend of mine showed the game off I couldn't help but be intrigued by it - and the opening theme is the first thing that hooked me.

@@shinigamimiroku3723 I know I’m a year late but I want to say that the games (at least 3-5 not sure about the first 2) tend to follow a theme with P3 being death (and the message if you want to take one away is to live life to the fullest before you die)

I recognize that, at the time, I was too harsh on the game, although I was also suffering from depression at the time, so I couldn't connect with it without adverse effects. Nowadays, I respect what it was trying to do (although I would also argue that it failed because of all the people that want to rescue Minato).
