+Keihzaru Adachi isn't a psychopath. Psychopaths are incapable of feeling empathy and thus incapable of feeling remorse for their actions. Its pretty clear that in Persona canon Adachi at least feels some remorse, so Adachi cannot be a psychopath. He does show psychopathic tendencies (aka all those killings he did/arranged to happen) but that doesn't make him a psychopath.

Xelestial murderers get redeemed a lot in fantasy worlds with simple excuses actually like risking their lives to protect the people who have done no wrong, or spending their life stopping others from becoming murderers. but because persona takes place in such a modern setting it’s harder to overlook something like murder since people are a lot more sensitive to death when they see it happen in a setting similar their real world. Quite frankly some of the better and most notable protagonist can come from criminals who seek repentance for what they’ve done, it’s practically an archetype.

It's Ziodyne. Yu's basically a Shinkuu Hadoken and can be comboed into, Elizabeth's weaker than Yu's, and Adachi's easier to be broken and doesn't seems to be combo-able, but if it lands, that's a corner carry. Adachi's 2D is also basically the Persona part of Yu's Cross Slash, but obviously takes longer

Rather the unexperienced protagonist learning about the world. The jester on the other hand is more of a clown. So I don't know... He is a fool due to his tarrot card, but i wouldn't call him a fool in the same way as Ju is. So for me he's not the new fool.

For me, this theme should be named "a new fool's conviction". Adachi is shown to respect the rules that are imposed to everyone after losing to Yu's team in the events of persona 4 (for me, both the normal persona 4 and golden version are Canon, but happen in different universes.) Adachi now wish to protect society's rules, even if he doesn't like them.

There's another excellent fic too, Wanted It To Be A Game. Thankfully it was a completed fan fic. While the two's role are reversed: Adachi still the asshole detective but now the hero and the IT's leader; and Yu's still the student but he's the one who accidentally murdered someone there.

for anyone reading these replies, personally I liked "The Fool Reversed" way more than "Wanted it to be a game." to me, it has a much more engaging premise and introduction, and the way the author wrote the characters I feel is very in character and feels realistic to what would happen if a younger adachi swapped with yu. even the ooc changes the author makes to the characters and story are pretty great. As for "Wanted it to be a game," I don't really know what to think, I wasn't able to get invested. The interaction between the characters just feel kind of surface level and you never really get to see the part of truly ugly side of adachi that pushes people away and only acts only for his own sake. I was only able to power through to chapter 25 so maybe it gets better? but i really don't see it happening. I also really don't like some of the new things they added but that just might be me. this is all to really say that I hope someone reads these fic because I want to talk about them.
