Great video! I always thought cards went down when players get traded but maybe there is some pop with the new interest, and in your case NJ is a decent market at least if you do sell. Still have the memories with 1 mikko card

Great video buddy :) I pc Bowen Byram and it was tough to see him get traded to buffalo. he´s still and will always be my pc player and just picked up his The Cup rpa gold - with a nasty patch. For me it´s about the player and if he is on a team I like its a win.

I can empathize with you, especially on the Rantanen pc. I have a pretty decent collection of his, from The Cup RPA, FWA, Ice rc patch out of 3 (probably one of my nicest looking cards of all), and on and on. I have a fair amount of the 3 other guys you featured. I've been in Edmonton for the last 30 years plus and have Taylor Hall's galore, including a wicked Ultimate RPA out of 25. I'm in a conundrum right now as I've not been able to work for the last years, so I can't buy boxes or even packs due to financial constraints. I'm on medical disability and that doesn't even cover my rent. I've been using my retirement savings to pay for all the essentials to stay alive and eat, but that's about to run out finally. I'm going to have to sell everything this year just to survive. I pc'ed players because I liked them. Some I knew would retain value, like My McDavid FWA, and I cringe knowing I'll have to let that go (as well as his YG). I have been buying since I was a boy, starting with 70-71 O-Pee-Chee. I've kept everything to this day. My MacKINNON pc is my largest, and that will be the toughest to let go. I know the majority of my cards will be fetch pennies on the dollar, but others are worth 4 digits, and I'd rather go hungry than sell them cheap (ie. - an 01/02 SPA Triple hard signed auto of Gordie Howe, Wayne Gretzky, and Steve Yzerman out of 25 - my best pull ever). I've had a lot of joy collecting over 50 years. I have some regrets on certain purchases, just like everyone in the hobby, but it was my thing, and I loved it all. I've spent these last 9 years watching channels like yours and enjoying things vicariously through them. Thanks for all you've done in keeping me updated with your work (and all the others like Zeree for example). I'll keep watching until they repocess my phone and cancel my internet. Thanks again. I see a similar sentiment with jerseys when players get traded and I never understood it. Maybe because I've supported a lower league soccer team in England for most of my life and the turnover of players is so high. My favourite Rangers jerseys are Lundqvist, Zuccarello, McDonagh and Callahan jerseys, all of which I picked up cheap after they left. I have tonnes of cards of traded players too, and they all serve as good memories of players I enjoyed seeing play for my team. I do only pick up fairly low value cards too, so picking up cards of traded players helps me get better value in my PC

I know how you feel. Flyers fan and was a huge Jeff Carter fan. I still have all the cards and followed him with Kings but really hurt when he went to the Pens.

I collect 2 players mainly... one player, only pro player from my hometown, I have over 250 of his cards including 120 autos... Lots of 1/1s ...I am after anything and everything of his that I dont have but at this point its getting hard to find cards....So I started collecting Fantilli, as he is one of my favorite new players to watch, even though Im not a Columbus fan, I am just buying the cards I like with no intention on selling anything...Done extremely well on grading his stuff...

I’m a sharks fan cause I live by there. I collect all sharks cards even base cards and players that no longer play on the team anymore. I’m still new to collecting hockey so I PC Macklin Celebrini. Not if but when Celebrini goes to another team I will still collect him Also “Charizard can’t tear his ACL” 😂

This is why I love collecting University of Minnesota alumni, doesn't matter what NHL team they play for! And like you said some of them can be nice and cheap! Just picked up a Ben Meyers Cup RPA for a great price this week. Cooley and Knies on the other hand... 🥲 For my favorite NHL team (Wild) I stick to building cheaper rainbow sets (currently building a Kaprizov non-mem rainbow from this year's Artifacts), for exactly this reason, players can be gone before you know it.

I feel for you. You don’t have to hate the player. Just stop collecting him if you can’t handle him on another team. I had Fedorov. Still have his Wings cards. It’s more about the memories.
