Experiences rather than 'things'. Yes!! Love the Q&A videos. I went on the road full-time in a self-converted minivan on July 4, 2021 & I love it! Is it easy? No, it is not(I am a 54yr old disabled military veteran). Is it a constant 'instagram moment'? No, I have spent many nights at a truck stop or Cracker Barrel, but EXPERIENCES like the drive from Flagstaff down to Sedona Arizona is BREATHTAKING!!! It literally looks like something out of a King Kong movie! That trip alone can make that sleepless, sweaty, 90 degree night in West Memphis just a distant memory...

Everyone should go to Alaska once in their life. It is so wild and untamed like going back in time. Also been to Yellowstone when it just opened up from being closed in winter and still snow and bison everywhere. Once Bison had parked themselves right on the road blocking traffic. One bison walked right up to my window and looked right at me as if to say " hey why are you here we didn't invite you. This is our land." I took a photo because I thought it made a good story 🤣. Finally the bison moved on.

Love that you go on solo trips, it’s not like you have to have your partner there all the time, it’s great to have space and alone time. Also love that you don’t film trips with friends - so important to not lose your love for the outdoors because you made it your full job. Great idea to keep some separation and boundaries, as well as having very focused content, not just a scattered hodge-podge of everything happening in your life. Appreciate you sharing personal details - I don’t think any of us have the right to feel entitled to your personal life but it’s nice to get to know you a bit more as a person. Thanks for all the hard work, down-to-earth thoughts and helpful tips 👍

I just came across your channel a few days ago and have already commented on a few of your videos. From what titles I have seen and from what I have watched, I think you have one of the better hiking channels on KZbin because of the diversity of your video topics. You mentioned that you would like to start a business and I think you know where you should go. It is best to open a business in an area you love. Though just my opinion, I think you would do great opening an outdoor or backpacking store., You already mentioned you love doing the videos so why not focus on that business. Also, as a cancer survivor, thank you for the work you have done in the field.

Amanda. To see the bison 🦬 in Yellowstone in winter, I recommend you do the snowmobile guided tour from West Yellowstone to Old Faithful. I did it in February 2010. It was -20 F and we stayed warm. You will drive real close (too close for me) right past the bison. I also saw bald eagles mating on this trip. You’ll love it.

Hi, Amanda. I have a few questions to add: I'd like to know more about your use of the drone camera? and also how do you select background music for your videos? What other outside youtubers or bloggers do you appreciate/admire/enjoy? One more question--what are your recommendations for joining local and/or online groups for hiking, backpacking, and camping--for the purposes of networking, learning, group activities, and/or building a potential list of people who can join you on outdoor adventures (I'm interested in any/all groups, but particularly women's groups)? And a comment . . . one of my favorite parts of your videos is when you show how things went wrong or when you had to try something many times, and/or even when your efforts didn't end up totally successful at all . . . and when you include your reflections and lessons learned. I also love the quiet meditative portions of many of your videos--it's like poetry with no words.

@taylore66774 жыл бұрын
Haha I love the honesty of this question. First, you dig a hole for your business. Make sure you're a proper distance away from any water source. Second, throw the toilet paper away in a bag you bring with you You pack this out and dispose of the bag in a garbage can after your trip. Last, you bury your business. It really is the way to go. And like she said, sometimes the view from your hole toilet is pretty great :)
