Sorry the video is so long.... I got a Tac Star sidesaddle for my 870 and figured I'd video me installing it. I didn't practice it, and you can tell.....

The long forend of the Express will come back and hit the sidesaddle when working the action, so you will have to trim off the excess on the left side, or buy a tactical or other shorter forend.

I just went with a 4 shell holder it doesn’t brush up against the forend

You don’t need to take off the 6 Allen screws that hold the two pieces together. You doubled the install time.

the problem with this saddle brand is that they have made it in a way that it covers the serial number of the shotgun, If you need to provide your serial for warranty, legal, or gunsmith purpose you gotta have to remove it. and it is bulky so if decide to add more accessories in the future you might have issues.

@MrGlock55 I live in a very dry climate so i dont really have to worry about that. I guess rust could get under there. Luckily its easy to take off and put on

only thing you forgot is i prefer blue loctite on all screws then let it sit 24 hours before firing gun,then its no problem . dont give up i had mine on gun 3 years now ,and its never moved, but i blue loctite #242 on it .

Depends on foregrip , if the foregrip goes over the frame, will not work

i think this would work extremely well on the keltec ksg cheek plate/cover. it has a large flat area n even the mounting screws would still allow the cover to remain flush. n if i have trouble with the screws length i can either replace them or skip the qd. sure it will involve drilling the plate/cover n that damn thing was 65$ from keltec but this is polymer not alluminum like the others for the ksg n it wont take up valuable railspace. i really hate an over tac'd ksg but it would be nice to have 6 more rounds. and if one was to buy that huge ugly shell deflector they could almost mount 2 or 3 of these lol

I know I'm late to the party but, just tried installing this on my 870 wing master and the pump will not come all the way back. Had to go down to a 5 shot Carrier.

not to bad to install do the directions say if it will work with the upper weave sight rail its for a red dot but it uses the same main 2 bolts u had to punch out to mount it so idk if the masa tactical or this one will work any info will help

The tacstar side saddle is a piece is crap! Just got back from the range and the thing completely fell off in the middle of shooting! Not even 200 rounds into it and already its worthless! Got it for $30, so I guess I got what I payed for. Looking into getting a mesa tactical side saddle next.

+MrApple no loctite will not help. Tacstar is a poorly made side saddle. By the way, it was put on the shotgun as per instruction. The shotgun was also inspected by a 7th level manufacturer/ dealer prior to shooting it. At the end of the day, this is garbage gear! Do not buy!

I had a problem installing mine as well. They told me to send it back and get the 4 round saddle, which I have not done yet. The pump would not travel all the way back so I could not load any shells. Any suggestions before I have to send it back?

You could check out a different foregrip for your shotgun on Amazon. The magpul stock forend for the 870 is rumored to work with this Tac Star side saddle.

Yup, you have to get a shorter forend. Speedfeed makes a good one.
