Why not go with large AUM arbitrage funds which are already existing, why to take chances with new funds

If you take the past performance disclaimer seriously, large AUM or past performance does not matter much - mos definitely not in this caegory

I have liquid funds in another AMC for several years which I want to redeem and put it in Arbitrage fund. Liquid funds have lost their USP (higher than FD rates), and tax benefits. Another reason being its a lot easier to switch within AMC, ex: between PP Arbitrage fund and PP Flexicap fund.

Arbitrage funds have also lost their returns. Liquid funds were never meant to beat FD. That was a flash in pan when int rates were high

Liquid funds are generating 7% returns and that is on par with most bank FD/RD. Btw liquid funds are meant for parking money for small period or run it like an rd. never understood why someone looks at it as an investment.
