I wish one could test their hearing all the way until 20khz! Other than that, this looks amazing!

That’s generally not done. The frequency range they test is what an audiologist tests as well.

@@michaelgwagner Yeah, I remember last time I did one, the audiologist was like "we just want to know if you can hear a voice clearly", this is all their care about, and it's understandable for most people, but for people who work in audio, it could be interest to know what hides in the attic :P

You do raise an important issue, and your solution is elegant for those with the right gear. I have a test protocol using tones that I generated myself and an oscilloscope app on the iPad. I'm 65 and my hearing tops off at 9kHz. Yet somehow I am told by younger listeners that my mixes sound great. I have tested dozens of headphones and the ones I use daily are the ones where the peaks and troughs I can hear using the test tones are almost eliminated - Audio Technica ATH-M50X.

Yes, unfortunately there is a limit to what you can do with hearing aids. My hearing tips off around 12.5kHz. Anything above that is lost forever. 😔

Quite amazing video. Thanks a lot. I will definitely looking into it. It does look more interesting than the new air pods.

Yes, the second iteration of the AirPos Pro is really good. I absolutely hated the first version btw. 😉

Thanks for this video Mike. How would you compare this with the samsung Buds 3 pro?

Never liked those tbh. I don’t have the latest version though. But the key here are the hearing accommodations. I don’t think the Samsung have that (yet).
