Growing up listening to Lee Williams was so common in our home. My parent who has now gone on to be with the Lord... loved listening to his music any day of the week. I remember seeing my mother breaking down in the kitchen with tears streaming down...as she prepares our Sunday dinner. I loved his music then and even more today. He will truly be missed but his music will forever be in my heart forever... RIP!

The truth is, I didn't know or hear about Lee Williams' music until recently. But since then, I am getting to love and appreciate his music. He certainly had a powerful and inspirational voice that is still touching the inner souls of men, including myself. Interestingly, the first part of his life is common to mine. The first song I head Lee Williams & his group sing was Cooling Waters. Instantly fell in love with it. Then, I went down the “Rabbit Hole” & found so many of their songs here on KZbin. Made myself my on playlist. When he came to my town, my husband and I were front & center. He/they did not disappoint. I love how he would just stand in one spot and sing his heart out. I can’t say I have a favorite song. They all touch my soul but if I had to choose 1 it would be You Can’t Run & I Find No Fault. So that’s 2. lol I saw (online) one of his last performances where his son had to help him remember some of the words. Broke my heart. May he Sleep in Peace until that Great Getting Up Morning 💜
