In this episode of Personally Speaking, Msgr. Jim Lisante is joined by Senator Josh Hawley who represents Missouri in the U.S. Senate. Before his election to the Senate in 2018, Senator Hawley worked as a First Amendment lawyer and law professor and served as the attorney general of Missouri. Senator Hawley has written a new book called “Manhood: The Masculine Virtues America Needs” which addresses the question, “What gives a man’s life purpose and meaning?” He talks about his concern over our culture’s impact on boys and men, and solutions for men to restore the virtue of manhood.

I've heard him speak a lot on the Senate Committee and he's refreshing in a place full of corrupt people posing as for the people when Hawley is actually for his constituents and for Americans. Keep doing the right thing Senator.

Always watch Sen Hawley in congressional hearings. He can be a bulldog when some witness or nominee trys to lie or cover up their past actions. Can't wait to read the book.

Monsignor, thank you so much for this interview with Josh Hawley! I live in Missouri and see the political ads beating him up every day. I have never heard him speak before. I know that I agree with his stance on abortion and "gender affirming care," so it is no surprise to me to be inspired by his life, his beliefs, and his words. But what a blessing to actually hear him speaking honestly, comfortably, and encouragingly. Thank you, thank you, thank you for having him on your show!

I was baptized as an infant, was brought up in my Catholic Faith, went to Catholic school 1-12 and did the same for my children. Later in life I stopped praying to my God. I am an alcoholic in recovery for years now. I thank my God for that shame because it brought me back to my faith. I no longer go to church because I have to, I go because I love it now. I talk with my God and He walks with me!

Senator Hawley speaks out for honesty, my female gender, and atrocious against my Religion-Catholic Faith which is always challenged by other Christians as well as non believers.
