I was one of Bishop Espaillat’s classmates on the Spirituality Year; he was a cantor and I was the organist. We had a lot of fun. To be honest, I was relieved to know a classmate who was younger than I, if only by 2 1/2 months. Unfortunately we lost touch until i heard this great news. This interview has helped fill in some blanks to good effect. +Joseph’s authenticity and joy have deepened in the Lord. My respect (if not my obedience anymore) to Bishop Barres!
