Two interesting things to note: 1. Link is wearing his Breath of the Wild outfit, and from what was seen in the preview, draws heavily from said game. Perhaps elements from other incarnations will be involved? 2. For the first time since Goku vs Superman, the rematch fight is done in the same animation style as the original (CGI in both cases).

Well they will most likely only use his most impressive stuff over all the games but don't expect to see anything from Wind waker or the 2d games since compared to other games they don't have much for him to work with against cloud. Although this fight is in 3d like the original it seems that this has better quality than the original and I think better animators to animate this one plus this looks way different than the original. This will be way better than the original.

You see we see a PIECE of Jesus’s stand when we see the eye corpse piece but later on it transforms into a new stand This tusk is not the original stand and is instead Johnny’s stand with the corpse piece transforming from a fraction of Jesus’s stand into tusk. (Basically Jesus’s stands aren’t the ones we see our characters use but instead his stand was more angelic until new people touched it and got powers based on themselves)

I'd say the difference is that stands are born from ones fighting spirit which is generally connected to concepts like ki/chi and that link is why if you kill a stand it kills the user, personas however are completely mental they are formed from the cognitive faculties of the user and as such aren't life bound to a user, but can be broken if the user becomes mentally exhausted.

Stands can be generally used at any time almost anywhere and have a slight chance of evolving and no one can have more than one stand except for in one instance with Rohan but personas need to be in a...different dimension? Dark hour, tv world or metaverse to be used will evolve if given enough growth and tend to be Elemental based gimmicks and for some reason have different ways of being summoned simulating death, destroying a tarot card, ripping a grafted on mask

@@lordderp6914 they (with the exception of the users from p3) need to be in the cognitive realm to be used, the summoning gimmicks are literally just that gimmicks they aren't needed as the persona in every way is tied to the psyche of the user, it's just that trauma(the head shot, mask ripping) is an easy way to access the power, it's different because it's all in the users head if you believed hard enough you could fake a sneeze and have that be your trigger lol.

@@sleep5329 I don’t know what you mean by “not many Jojo characters can do this why?” If you’re talking about managing to exploit that opening, it’s because of the fact that not only does Adam Kadmon have some of if not the best almighty skills in the game and is physically stronger than stands (I mean the thing’s as tall Satanael) but even if Maruki doesn’t outright erase them he can still affect their cognition at the very least like he did with the thieves when Maruki was using Azathoth before it evolved. To say no stand user can exploit the opening would admittedly be stretching it, but the act of doing so would take a LOT of effort. That said I am willing to admit that the reason Adam Kadmon is so powerful is largely because Maruki used his knowledge of Cognitive Psience to hijack Yaldabaoth’s empty position in mementos and effectively take his place hence why he can warp reality since initially he can just effect people’s cognitions. I’m sure if Maruki ever returns in a future game (hopefully in say a Persona 5 arena as a playable fighter) he would still be powerful but he would be nerfed from what he was in P5 Royal, like what happened to Adachi before when he had Ameno Sagiri’s power but lost it next time he appeared.

It really depends on what stand and what persona. Because any persona can become godly (even pixie, nevermind especially pixie), but stands are always gonna have the same stats. And the matchups are crazy. This is basically just minato with the universe, Adam kadmon (user is a spoiler) and Tatsuya with Apollo Vs Giorno GER, Johnny tusk act 4 and maybe jotaro SP. And I'm saying the universe is gonna crush all the stands to quote Igor: "nothing is outside the realm of possibility for you now"

I've said this in a reply but Love JoJo, they've got powerful stands, but Persona has Messiah, Adam Kadmon, Izanagi no okami, Satanael, Magatsu Izanagi. And that's not even all of them. Most the normal attacks persona's pump out would absolutely kill a stand user. All the personas I listed above have INSANE stats, and those stats are also embedded into the user, giving them the strength, durability and even speed with nullification to most things. Persona users have tanked explosions, blades, hard hits from literal monsters. And every group has fought a god. Not to mention that they have ranged attacks a stand user would dream to have. Don't even get me started on the velvet room attendants

i know it’s too late for the vote…but Stands getting hurt also hurts the Stand user exactly the same way, meaning sending out the stand to attack comes with physical risk to the user. A persona getting hurt might cause the user to flinch, but they can still keep going and fighting. and even if the Persona is shattered (which yeah, it temporary), the use can still walk away.

Honestly…I always saw both Stands and Personas as basically the same thing (if only with minute differences). The only difference is that Personas are born of one’s psyche and take on forms born of the collective subconcious, hence why Persona take on forms like Thor, Satan, and other mythological creatures and deities (since the series borrows a lot from Carl Jung’s stuff) while Stands are a more direct manifestation of one’s soul rather than one’s psyche (and why directly hurting a Stand also hurts the user so badly…greater risk, greater reward).

TL;DR Persona's Win. 1) Stands don't grow with their users, while Persona's do. At first glance Stands would trounce Persona users, but this is a full potential analysis. 1a) I know some stands actually grow. Some. ALL PERSONA'S GROW, NO EXCEPTIONS. 1b) You can make Stands undergo an evolution with the arrow that grants the ability in the first place. This evolution is more often than not, unstable and uncontrollable. ALL PERSONA'S CAN EVOLVE TOO and unlike Stands, this evolution comes from deep growth and personal understanding. Something that can be put under control IMMEDIATELY. 2) Persona's impart their physical attributes to their wielders. A misconception of the anime produced for Persona 4 is that they work like Stands and do all the fighting. They don't. And they impart these physical characteristics, passively, at all times. 3) If we're gonna talk about busted main characters, you have to mention that the main protagonists of Persona games have overcome actual deities. Not people with God like power. The honest manifestation of deific power upon the world. 4) Persona's have abilities like Null Physical. This basically kills almost all damage done by Stands, to both the Persona and their wielder, they BOTH are immune to physical damage. Mind you even if you bring up a case like Magician's Red, there are not only damage negation, but total absorption of elemental attacks. 5) Persona Wielders deal with status effects (sleep, paralysis, charming...) far more often than Jojo characters do. I will say Jojo characters have an appetite for physical pain that borders on insane. 6) All Personas can learn healing abilities.

on 1b) the only example I can think of that a user couldn't control their stand after it evolved was Polnareff and Chariot Requiem, and this was because Polnareff's body had died, so he wasn't even a stand user anymore on the other hand, some normal Personas can harm their users without even have evolved I personally think that stands would win because a lot of stands have busted abilities without even have evolved (The World, King Crimson, D4C, etc) and the evolved stands are equally and most times more busted (Made In Heaven, Gold Experience Requiem, Tusk ACT 4, etc), while personas usually are extremely weak when they are first awakened and grow over time, and even then most stands have immense room to grow as a lot of stands have an A in developmental potential when they are first awakened, and then grow alongside their users and gain new abilities, get increased stats, and potentially even evolve into a stronger stand while this is more on stand users vs persona users, most stand users find creative and strong ways to use their abilities, even when they may seem very weak at first. Some examples of this is The Lock, and extremely weak stand that the user uses to their advantage by tricking people into feeling guilty and then scams them for money. What I'm trying to say is that stands are more often than not dependent on their users for how strong they are, while personas are just have some skills that, while being extremely powerful, don't leave much room for creative ways to use them to make them stronger

I would argue against that opening statement right off the bat. In Persona, you're not working for Satan. In fact, Philemon the owner of the Velvet Room seems to align himself with the Lawful Good side of things. The Messiah is a much stronger Persona than literal Satan, and our advocate for Personas had failed to make that point right off the bat. Even in Shin Megami Tensei, they give you the option to work with God to destroy the devils in the game instead of the other way around.

didn't even pull out "Wonder of U" personally I think this "series group/powersystem vs series group/powersystem" is a neat idea, but it'd probably need longer episodes/streams because there are more things to discuss/take into account. Requiem is on the top 3 most broken stands, but this debate could've definetly spend more time on the main characters and the lower levels.(levels/tiers are tough on Jojo stands unless you go one-by-one before hand and craft your own, and even then their nature is closer to "rock paper scissors + mind games/puzzle" and most don't "level up" in a traditional sense, the users just get more clever or get a very rare power up, but one way it could've been done is by using groups of stands, for example something like- "unconventional villains/encounters", "side/weekly Villains", "Supporting character's stands", "main villains", "main characters, aka Jojo's stands". the reasoning should be self-explanatory, but (with some exceptions for _all_ of these-) most side villains are beaten by supporting characters, most supporting characters are beaten by main villain stands, most villains are beaten by main character's/jojo's stands...and maybe as a separate tier list- broken transformations/evolutions that have their own absurd SSS tier list (Here's the GERequiem,Made In Heaven, Tusk act4, Killer Queen: Bites the Dust, D4C: Love Train, Silver Chariot:Requiem, and maybe Emporio's Weather Report 'Technique') . this way you can much easily break down the discussion, even if you don't go over every single one(which would be absurd), you'd at least get a balanced representation of all the different scalings/characters within the story. to clarify, the "unconventional villains/encounter" is where you'd have the weirdest of stands that have a very niche attribute, like Sugar Mountain- aka the Tree stand, Ratt- the rat stands, Earth wind & fire, Les Feuilles- those leafs stand, Love Train, ect. ,maybe even also pile stands here such as the 2 Darby brothers stands, 'Hey-ya' , Cheap Trick and other 'niche' stands that are way too unconventional for the "weekly/side villain stands" tier, and are more 'situational or 'passive'' then normal. also, I liked how you were arguing in favor of stands, there's something very pleasant about blowing the minds of people who have little to no idea about these creators from Araki's bizarre mind and seeing their reactions and disbelief, but bringing up The World Over Heaven was kinda cheap, I wouldn't included it sense it's video game exclusive, it also really doesn't make sense and it's clearly there just to serve as the big bad guy of an "all stars/avenger-like" plot that isn't canon.

Also I wanna correct some misinformation here. Giorno cannot, "reverse time" That's not his power. Giorno stopped Diavolo from cutting out time, he literally took the cut time and clicked the undo button. If he could reverse time anytime he wanted? Why did he only stop at diavolo's attack? Cause it was reversing his time only and it also matters on "willpower" giorno cannot erase others willpower. These kids powers is BASED on having unshakable willpower, enough that in p5 the characters get erased from continuity and it's the protags willpower that refuses to make him cease. it's p3 protags willpower that allows him to save the entire planet, and p4 that allows him to see past illusions and lies and strike at the truth. dont get me START on what p1/p2 do in terms of literally resetting the universe and how powerful they become. The highest ranked stands can destroy the highest personas. But most persona user are show at they can fight physically better than most stand users but stand fighter are smarter in the way they fight.

@The man of all seasons GER is literally untouchable, D4C escapes into different realities and can kill you instantly, Tusk act 4 can cause you to infinitely rotate for eternity with only another golden rotation being able to cancel it out, Made in Heaven has infinite speed and can be touched and The World Over Heaven is the most broken stand in existence and can’t even be harmed unless you have a holy corpse part. Do I need to include Kira who can insta kill anyone with a touch?
