I noticed you said that Ryoji had no build up. I disagree, as Ryoji was Pharos (the ghost kid appearing in the protagonist's room). He is death that was sealed inside of the protagonist by Aegis on the bridge and once the protagonist returned to the city he reawakened. Pharos's development in how he became friends with the protagonist is in turn Ryoji's development. So yeah. Just thought i should share that. Oh and as for Ikutsuki he is just a psychopath. No need for explanation he is just crazy and wants to see the world burn.
