I must thank God for you. What a series, mostly importantly you explain it very well. It is a blessing for us coz it is worth spending some time away from digital screens with drawings. God Bless You.😊

I really enjoyed that you pointed out that truck was in 2-point perspective when the other vehicles were in 1-point that’s something I’ve not seen many people point out. Love the vid. Keep up the great work.

I am a beginner at perspective drawing and your videos are truly amazing to understand the concepts in a short and sweet way. I liked the fact that you divided them in these series fashion. One question though- is there any reason for making the edges dark at 1:10 ? If yes what does it mean?
@oldhorseshoe17765 жыл бұрын
I observe how you draw the construction lines with a ruler but restate the box edges freehand. Keep these lessons going, Dan. Maybe in a future episode you can use a perspective grid and draw a scene on top of that. I would be interested in your creative thought process behind such an effort. Thanks for this valuable lesson.

Does the Vanishing Point represent the Depths of the object we see? if so how do we know how far to draw the object form the horizon to get the angel and perspective we want?

I'm trying to draw a top down view of a room, but my immediate problem is having no idea how to measure the heights of things. How tall are my bookshelves if seen from another view, would they be ridiculously high? And maybe the door is really short? I have no idea how to tell. Does it not matter so long as objects scale well in relation to each other?

I want to draw a city in ruins like those you usually see during big battles in comic books, but I'm having trouble thinking of even drawing a cracked building lol. One question, but does having a certain type of paper matter even it comes to perspective drawing or no?

am i getting this right if i take it that, if all the lines converge into one vanishing point that is one point perspective, but as soon as an object (like the car here) breaks this, the object, (or maybe the picture?), becomes 2 point perspective? and then if this happens again, where the lines converge off of the horizon line upwards or downwards ("zenith" or "nadir") this is then 3 point perspective?
@_Cfocus5 жыл бұрын
Does this also work on living things like people or animals?
@alexlopez18955 жыл бұрын
Focus yes absolutely. Perspective is in everything we see. We start out with blocky forms for people and animals in perspective and than we flesh them out later.

Is it me? I have been following these videos and am a beginner. I cant keep up and the videos are so fast that even if I stop start the frames many lines have appeared all at once. In addition your hand obscures how and where the contstruction lines are being drawn from. I love your calm style and really appreciate it but please slow down the presentation in the video
