1. The former militant groups will now develop the region, and resist against new insurgents. 2. Peace in north east will also have good effects beyond borders too. 3. Peace settlement should be more in the hands of the people of North east or those who are aware of their ethos. We have important officers involved in these processes well aware of NE. 4. Developments must be done in fast pace. 5. Manipur still has unrest. Kuki areas. Meiti groups. and Nagas. But aim to get whole NE insurgency free by 2024. Talks are underway after State Governments have become willing to negotiate. 6. Some problems because Myanmar govt does not have capacity to evict insurgent groups from its land. Bigger problem is the differences between ethnic insurgents in two different states. Territories claimed by insurgents coincide. 7. Assimilation of NE people in mainstream. Racism should be discarded.

Need to proactively spread cultural identities of NE ethnic groups like Bihu dance and hand woven Mekhala silks from Assam, Manipuri dance, Mizo Bamboo dance and Bamboo Caps etc
