Ads were the reason I turned of my TV in 2012. I now have 13000 youtube channels, ad free.

But people remember that those days will never come back. The Australian and the UK Accent are quite similar on their outlook.

Solahart in 1984. Solar power was an option even back then, but still a deep end readjustment. Don't know how that went, maybe it worked half the time, or something like that, or, more likely, people saw little cost effectiveness. Oh, that's right, it was half a generation or more to be reaping the nett savings of it. In 1990 a guy was telling us he was going solar - whilst he had his windscreen done - and he said, ' then we'll know who the dickhead is ' regarding all the naysayers, but he was talking long term for that. He had the $138.00 cash up front for his windscreen. Better him than me. I had the arse out of my pants at the time.

@@williamcrossan9333 Perhaps. Might have been even more than that. Because that it what it about costs now [ all the rebate crappo aside ].

In the days before ever adverts made all men out to be mindless idiots and women to be the cool, calm problem solvers when in reality the exact opposite is usually the case.

The trend those days was quite different than this decade in the 2020s. I am really happy about this situation because we could really learn from those adverts from Australia from the 1980s.
