Hi Reuber, I had to google that then! lol. No, no lifts. It's not really needed as the trails are just a nice pedal up. You can easily loop around the skills park too.

Nice! I am 55 and just pick up mountain biking last year. Your video is an inspiration to me. I am also learning how to bunny hop and jump but I am not getting anywhere close. Hopefully more practice and I can see you in Whistler in July. I live in Vancouver and 2 hours away from Whistler. Cheers!

enricsoh Hey, welcome to the club my friend! Us oldies have to stick together! 😁 That’s great you’ve got into mountain biking, it’s a great hobby, I love it! Like a lot of things, if you want to get good at something you have to practice and that’s what this channel is all about. Practice and encouraging folk to get out there on the bikes and have a go! It would be awesome if we could meet up in Whistler! I’ll put up a post nearer the time and if you or anyone would like to meet for a day on the trails, that would be amazing! You could show show us around!? Well, keep at it and remember to keep practicing. It’s not easy, but we’ll get there! 🤘

@@MountainBikePete I have never ridden in Whistler as it's beyond my pay grade. Let's see what happens when summer comes. You may have to show me how to ride some of the trails here in Whistler😊. Its winter here right now and its very wet in Vancouver during winter and spring months so not much riding😢.

I just found this channel the other day and I really like seeing your motivation and commitment to getting better at biking. For jumps like this, speed is more important than your bunny hop technique. If you have the right speed for the jump, you don't really need to do much. Just keep loose. When I was learning, it helped to use the slope incline of road curbs to practice. You can do it anywhere you have curbs. it's good practice and low risk. You need to learn how to "pump". Pump tracks are the best way to progress fast. Why are you twisting the bars every time?

Hey Luke, I'm really pleased you like my motivation, that's the idea of the channel, to get more folk learning new tricks. Especially us older folk! :) Yes I also agree on the speed. I can actually clear these jumps with speed, but today's session was all about grasping the proper bunny hop technique. Trying to not be stiff in the air and actually standing tall and letting the bars come to me, instead of ducking and pulling the bars with my arms. We're going back again next month and hopefully I'll progress a little bit further. I also ride a little bmx as I wanted to learn techniques like pumping. I'm ok at it, but not great. Curbs are great to learn on as you say, I try that when I can. I want something a bit bigger now so it makes me try harder!

Zac Rutland It’s Perth Bike Park. It might also be called Deuchny Bike Park. If you called in the jubilee car park and pedal up the fire road, you can’t miss it. There’s loads of Enduro trails up there too.

hell life Ah I get ya. I wanted to make sure I was slowly progressing. Sometimes you miss out on a little technique or something is not quite right when you try something new. Since this video I’ve been on a jumps course and I learnt a hell of a lot! I was doing most things wrong. But mainly I wasn’t jumping until the very top of the takeoff which really helped with the height I was getting. It’s all progression I suppose and practice! 😁🤘
