HOW TO : Pajero Snorkel Fit - Project NL EP2

This is how to fit a snorkel to a gen 2 Pajero. Same principal for any 4wd snorkel.

Nice work bud...... I learn't the hard way doing the snorkel on the Gen 2 NK, the template was miles out but neglected to dry fit before hand like you did.

cool. I fitted one to my 2.8 in the summer. right pain in the backside when you have weak and painful fingers lol. I just couldnt get a good tight fit around the air box on mine with the parts that it came with in the snorkel pack, so still got add the flex hose i also got and correct size rubber hose.

Yep. The petrol is easier where the air box fits to the inner guard. I remember fitting one to my 2.5 diesel and I had to use so much sealant

@@PERTHSCOOTER07 oh i got the same body lift done like yours that i mentioned months ago. Looking for better shockers and stiffer taller springs. On Delicas stick Landy springs on the rear but not too sure about the Paj. Next month fit the rear axle off a Shogun, i didnt know until last week Shoguns usually here had the rear diff locker... And rear side sliding windows.. i like those but they can wait.

lot of holes to be made on the side panel, unless one is into serious off roading with deep water crossings, otherwise the stock air intakes and vehicle height should be all right for the occassional offroad adventure

Yep. I toured Australia in this car 4 years ago and had no option on 2 occasions to do water crossings. One of which drenched my air filter.

Does NL refer to the Gen 2.5 Montero/Pajero (wide body/blistered fender) and what is this airbag recall you speak of? Are the airbags defective in the 98-2000 years without a replacement?

Yes NL is the gen 2.5/blister fender/wide body....haha my blister has no airbags so cant answer that part

Where'd you get the scrub bars from and also the rock sliders? Want a set for my NL widebody but can't find any

Unfortunately you can’t buy off the shelf stuff for Gen 2. These are custom made by a local fab shop. Cost $1100 for steps, scrub bars, dimpled infill panels, powder coating and fitting.
