I just finished “The Spellshop” after finding your channel last week. I ADORED IT! I didn’t want it to end. Eager for the second this summer!

I was so happy to see Where the Dark Stands Still on this list. I read it at the end of last year and really enjoyed it. The other books (and respective series) sound great as well. In fact, they are already on my TBR and I look forward to reading them...eventually (time permitting). Thanks for sharing!

hi regan, this video was a delight to watch! when i first started to read fantasy, i got my first high fantasy recommendations from you. (except for one ya book about fairies) the sword of kaigen was my first high fantasy book, and then the way of kings, both of them became two of my favorite books of all time and both of their authors became authors i follow closely. thank you for that! those were your videos from some years ago, i still remember not understanding pretty much anything you were saying but being very curious and intrigued, and i'm so glad i read those books then! i also went into the books without any other knowledge other than what i had seen in your videos, which was a good choice, i think. this video reminded me of back then, and your two old videos i had watched then, for some reason. (one was a "favorite standalones" video and one was a "favorite series" video.) i think i'll go into these books like that too, hope you have a good day!

same for me! my first ever high fantasy books were the sword of kaigen and the way of kings (except for one ya book about fairies but whatever lol) and i got both recs from her, and both became two of my favorite books of all time. even if she never recommends anything else i like ever, i will still be grateful to her. i have also read most of sanderson's books now and am trying to read them all lol.

I picked up tainted cup and dark stands still because of your recs and they were both favourites of mine as well! Definitely need to pick up Moonbound. Do I need to have read the author’s other book to enjoy it?

Loved where the dark stands still last year! Did hear people comparing it to Howl’s Moving Castle so I’ve started that this year. So far really liking it only have 5 a little over 100 pages to go! Then watching the movie.

Thank you so much! I often get carried away with old series, so I don't know an awful lot of recently published fantasy books. So many to add to my TBR list. 😊

Hey Regan, I just wanted to say I have been reading fantasy since I was a child and I am very picky and specific with my tastes. Your recommendations and precise, honest descriptions have caused me to read many fantastic books and brought me much joy over the years and a lot of them are my families favorites now. I wanted to thank you for your work and the joy. As long as you will make these videos, I will watch them :) have a great year

HIGHLY recommend Where The Dark Stands Still on audiobook!! (Free with Spotify Premium) Not only was the narrator amazing, but it really helped me get through all of those difficult polish pronunciations 😅 I loved it so much!

Hello! I love your channel and I've been a long-time viewer so thank you so much for all these years of good recommendations! --Out of curiosity, what's the model of the mic you use? It always catches my eye because it looks quite pretty on the frame.

How did you find reading The Stormlight Archive books in hardback? im about to buy my set and i know the hardbacks looks so much better on the shelf but im wondering if it will be a tougher read being 1000+ pages.

I'm about 100 pages into Blood Over Bright Haven, and while I'm really loving it, at the same time I'm a little disturbed by the fact that the magic concept seems to be extremely "inspired" by the magic in Babel. Did anyone else feel this way?

I was describing the Justice of Kings series to my boyfriend and he said that Vonvalt/the justices are Judge Dredd and now I can't stop thinking of that 💀I LOVE that trilogy I can't wait for his next book

"Blood Over Bright Haven" is the best Standalone Fantasy with Dark Academia elements I ever read. I want to try "Moonbound", but a reviewer mentioned that it contans chauvinism. Is that the case? I would rather avoid sexism...

Thank you for not jumping on the Wind and Turth hate train just for the sake of it. It wasn’t perfect, there have been better installments but, imo, there have been worse too (Oathbringer - for me) but the book was still good and the Goodreads average rating does not even reflect the hate that is being verbalized online about this book.
