The part about Hyenas is technically true. It’s not a real penis, but a pseudo penis. Because that species is EXTREMELY Matriarchal, the pack leader will often kill any female pups that stand a chance of replacing them, so they eventually evolved to have that fake part. To be fair to Funi, the studio might not've told them just how _explicit_ the anime was going to get, especially compared to the (much less overtly raunchy) manga. It's telling that both Amazon and two of the show's Japanese broadcasters dropped it, too. And even _more_ telling that one of the Japanese stations outright NICE BOATed it, _School Days_ style. That said, holding the rights might very well be a dick move if it's not because of contractual obligations or the like, depending on whether anyone else would risk picking the series up.

The series does actually look at that, funnily enough. At one point, Stunk actually gets arrested for a comment that would just be a bit sexist normally (says something about dragons being cheap lays or something, to a particularly sensitive dragon subspecies girl, I'm not sure about the specifics). ...And then gets off with a slap on the wrist (literally just a token fine, IIRC), because things like that happen from time to time because their culture is so much of a melting pot of various races and minorities that inadvertent line-crossings are outright _inevitable_ . Their general policy is that once is a slap on the wrist (probably only even worth police involvement to appease the offended party, since offense is in and of itself irrational), but it only gets treated as an actual crime if on the second charge, since then it's a repeat behaviour.
