Beckham was a great free kick taker, but the statement on saying he was the best ever is untrue. Juninho, Mihailovic to name a few. Excellent tutorial though. PES 5 FTW !!!

Nice tutorial. I used to play just with Ronaldinho. Ronnie has some special skills, I can put the ball wherever I want. But Becks is the best, he can put an amazing curve. With him and Ronnie I never missed a free kick.

You are pressing L1 and R1 while you are taking the freekick how does it affects the ball?

Maybe it's placebo, but tips section suggests using them. Check "Change kick direction after pressing button" part in "Set Piece" tab.

Is shooting in pes 5 easier than pes 6? I mean: Does the power ball fills slower than pes 6?

I think that scoring free kicks in PES 5 simpler than in PES 6 (I don't see the difference in fills of power bar). And about long distance shooting - conversely.

Whatdoes x or triangle do after you shoot??

X - it is a weak power of the shot (like parachute), and the triangle - a more powerful shot (the accuracy will be lower).

I think it's given more power for the shot, but maybe I mistake. Btw, in PES 4 it's works sometimes.
