I got this game on DVD 10+ years ago, I did not install any patches in the meantime. But there are a lot of KZbin videos with links for PES 6 patches

It was just a simple long pass to the striker in front of goal. Because Beckham has extremely high 'Swerve' parameter/stat in the game - the ball was changing direction in the air. So this was not a shot, just the long pass that was going over everybody's heads and confused the keeper, so it ended up as a goal :)
