Thank you! To me it seems perfect (and Coelux prices are so high that I've forgotten them, this one is ok)

When you look up, do you get the effect of a point source light the sun? I believe most of these skylights use a sheet of acrylic/PMMA embedded with titanium dioxide nanoparticles. I wonder if one can get their hands on just this material. It wasn't common ten years ago when these skylights started popping up, but maybe now?
@DuncanDimanche-sreview8 ай бұрын
when looking up at the direction of the light source you can clearly see the LEDs strip I believe that the new models have those sun like Lightsource that even moves when you're moving around and looking directly at it. I have been talking to another manufacturer in China and they have this sun like light source and i'm not too sure about the composition of the material.... to me it didn't seem that complex of a system but I could be wrong the best way to find out would be to take one appart haha

Thanks for sharing, I was designing a basement apartment and I’m thinking of incorporating 4 units into the ceiling in a line spanning the the whole length of the apartment from the living room through the hallway to the bedroom, the span is about 35 feet. I was curious to know how much space between them you would recommend as I don’t want one skylight light overlapping the other and cancelling the effect on the wall. And I haven’t decided yet between the 1’x2’ or the 1x4’ maybe even a 1’x6’.
@DuncanDimanche-sreview6 ай бұрын
@@saint2709 good question I think that it's juste a matter of preference to have one long strip or to leave some space in between to really have this light hitting the wall effect they recommend having the light 40-50cm (about two feet) from the wall but they also have some lights that are shooting straight down as if the sun was at noon and some have fake sun that moves around as you move around haha but they are about 22cm deep (the light) i'll let you do the maths in inches on that one haha i hope that it helped... if you are interested i have been in touch with an other brand that seems to be ahead of the game (they claim to be the direct manufacturer)

@@DuncanDimanche-sreview Thank you for your insight. I have just noticed that PeseTech is now available on Amazon. And of course I would be interested in the latest technology as the model I am seeing on Amazon has been around for years. I don’t want to install something and then find out what I have installed has been replaced by something newer and better. Ps I do have room in my ceiling cavity, I got 9” not including the drywall soundproofing cake of 2.75’’.

@@DuncanDimanche-sreview which brand have you been communicating with? If you’re willing to share. I’ve been trying to figure out which company actually manufactures most of these for a while.

@@roza_gee I'm not sure about the IP rating I know that some models are made for the bathroom so steam and occasional spray might be possible for sure. it also depends on the ip rating and the hight of your ceiling and also the norms of your country i know that here in france i can have ip44 in my bathroom because my ceilings are higher than 280cm
