I would really love to taste this Afghan dish. It's so very simple with no spices [which I detest]. It comprises: mutton, oil, onions, salt, rice and cumin powder. I must try making it - a very small quanity, of course. Great watching!!!

Afghani rice is unmatched in the world for it’s taste because of the way it’s cooked. Iranian rice is similar but no other rice anywhere else can come close to the taste, and the perfection of the grain. Qabili Palao is authentically and purely Afghani even though some other countries may cook or imitate this type of rice.
