Most of Ikora wasnt that bad, the companions and ultimatums were the big issues, but aside of them it was fine Unlike, you know, Eldraine

It's almost like you secretly make aggro decks at the start of a new season, knowing everyone will copy you and flood it with aggro decks. Just so you can turn around and make a control deck you've had in your back pocket this whole time specifically made to counter the aggro decks you told everyone else to play.

Cgb! I’ve loved playing this deck since you first made it, and today I used this list but replaced all agadeems awakenings and 1 witherbloom apprentice with 3 skeletal swarming and found great success! The swarming triggers the innkeeper which triggers Dina, and if you plumb a creature after an unblocked attack, it all triggers again. And if you have the prentice out it triggers an additional couple times. Slows the deck down a little, but the life you end up gaining once you get the combo going becomes overwhelming for even dragons decks. Swarming doesn’t synergize as well with ranger class’s level 3, but the level 2 is more than enough to justify keeping it. Really sweet video and list! 🙏

OHOHOH! I love this. I have a similar modified version of this using the: Maurading Blight Priest, Scute Swarm, Inkeeper, and Sedgemore Witch. So basically any combination of creatures either generates creatures, makes life, drains life, drops tokens, etc. It's -beautiful- to get the combo off, drop a cultivate and a field trip, the better replicates 2 > 4 > 8 on one turn for 14 tokens, generates 14 life, and drains 14 life with the innkeeper and the priest. you never have to attack, just play defensively, block with tokens, and use the new sexy green counters to keep your stuff alive.

The reason you had one big pest token and two small ones is that the big one was produced from a card that had the parallax cardstyle, so the token did too.

I think it definitely has legs, ive lost to it a lot. Since you're multispelling play monk and clarion, and guiding voice amongst for expanded anatomy. The only hard thing I think is fitting killian, as the mana is tough, but you get vanishing verse and soul shatter which is really good

Subbed druid class for ranger. Gives Dina another axis to ping with life gain. The 3rd chapter is often a great finisher if anybody leaves shields down, as it easily a 6 to 10 power haste creature.

Marauding Blight-Priest give you the same effect as Dina while not being legendary (but she's 2B and does not allow you to sacrifice creatures). And Relic Vial gives you the same effect as Bastion of Remembrance (minus the token generation) but works only with Cleric on the board (which Marauding Blight-Priest is). The vial also allows tou to sacrifice creatures card draw and (2). So that what I currently usimngh on sacrifice pest deck (and Dina too). I'm thinking of adding Scuttle Swarm.

This deck is such a good time. I went with 2x Valentin as I only had 3 ranger classes and playing Lisette on a prosperous innkeeper has won my so many games. Might want to keep it at 2x long term

Been running Dina for a while in my pest deck bc she combos like crazy with bastion....never even thought of using her with the the Prosperous Innkeeper....Lolth has been a good extra win con for me also

what does ranger class do in this deck? its definitely a strong card but it doesnt seem like it does much in a combo-y deck like this one. i guess it gives you a creature to sac but the counters wont do a whole lot when youre sacrificing half your board. feel free to call me stupid if im just missing something.

Well it’s a card advantage engine with a free body attached. Keep in mind the majority of the combo pieces in this deck are indeed creatures which can be played off the top of our library after Ranger class has been leveled up. That and the deck requires bodies on board to fuel its synergies so the token that this card generates ends up being valuable as well. I would be hard pressed to come up with another card in the 2022 format that can fulfill the same role for 2 mana.

My deck uses Mortality Spear. With all the life gain built in it goes from a 2 colorless Green/Black to a green/black spell that takes out anything. Artifacts, enchantments, creatures or planeswalkers.

I played against a version that ran the 2 mana sac draw 2 and create 2 treasures, along with the new black planeswalker. This was in mid diamond too, so it's not like a trash deck. Really hard to deal with their board.

9:50: Funny you should mention this. In my opinion Expanded Anatomy is the #1 lesson card that should be a staple...if people had room for it. Its an all-star in limited. Its the only lesson that can interact with Mavinda, in an already strong aggro color. Playing it usually feels awesome. This 7 cards only rule is shit. 6 only if you want a companion. Give me the full 15. We need it.

@48:30 Flunk is definitely NOT a good card. However, my other 2 mana option in Standard 2022 is Power Word Kill which does nothing against BW Angels and UR Dragons, and those decks are kind of everywhere........

I run this deck, except I have more land ramp, the lands are all snow, and I have Blood on the Snow and Professor Onyx x4 and Vorinclex x2. The boardwipe is absolutely necessary most games and having those six mana bombs to reanimate is game breaking. I also have one copy of Burning-Rune Demon to force opponents into bad lategame choices.

Righteous Valkyrie is my Archenemy when trying to play it myself I never draw it and when playing against it opponent always has 1-3 of them depending in how much removal I got always 1 more Valkyrie than removal

A very poor substitute.... Only on your turn will it do 1 dmg if a creature died during turn...... Not 1 per creature. The level ups are nice but probably not worth the investment compared to ranger..... Druid might be an interesting choice.... More life gain triggers for dena and with all that card draw off plumb and village rights you might actually make use of multiple land drops.
