I was a big fan during their first run but couldn't get Spheres. Now I reckon those albums are are one of the best four-album runs, with each album evolving from the last one. I saw them live a few days ago and they played mostly Testimony songs, which I wasn't aware that would happen. I did miss Malleus songs and I would have loved to see at least one song from Spheres.

@@ozricness Yeah I saw them last year when they played the whole of Testimony. Which was amazing but I would have loved some more stuff from those other classics and also the newest album which is also great.

I loved them all. Spheres gets an undue amount of hate, the riffing is extremely catchy and the bass playing on that one is genius. No matter how much progression made by the band or myself musically I will always hold the debut in the highest regard.

That’s a good point and it’s likely to happen.

I just started listening to PESTILENCE. Dont ask, I wasnt away in a cave or anything. I live in an extremely rural area and have suffered the consequences of a closed mind regarding DEATH METAL. Contempt prior to investigation. I grew up listening to classic metal with the more traditional vocal stylings, so I had a difficult time processing the low end growl thing. To my everlasting detriment. I missed out on some amazing music for so many years, I will go broke trying to bring my collection up to a respectable level. Death Metal is where the masters of the instruments reside. Pestilence is within the ranks of many of the exciting bands I missed out on and now am enjoying catching up. Thanks for a great video.

It’s never too late mate. My path of discovery never ends. Always on the hunt for new albums or albums from the past I missed.

Consuming Impulse is so underrated imo. It’s by far my favorite death metal album and Testimony of the Ancient is top ten.

Should not chew the later albums like that, could have said few more words for each. Waiting for this Asphyx Epox now.

Asphyx episode would be short. I’m a huge fan of The Rack and Last one on earth, two of the all time greatest DM classics, but not much after that.
