I was comfortably playing Div. 2 before the update and I lost almost every single match since yesterday (all Event matches, I haven’t tried divisions yet). Is anyone else going through this? I really can’t understand what’s going on… I used to be quite good at manually defending and decent at building up play, not so great at skills and shooting. I don't hate the current gameplay, actually I like that it feels slower paced; I only hate the new L2 finesse dribbling, since I find that shielding was actually useful and that PES used to do subtle finesse dribble with R2 and not this ridiculous OP dance moves.

@@signeponge ive been throught the same. I was div 1 before and now I can't barely win games in div 4. I also had trouble with L2 changes. I don't mind finesse dribbling but taking out shielding was a dumb move. I also find the gameplay slower and sloppy.

@@7gonzalopuertas I actually don't mind it behing a bit slower (since everybody's playing with 99+ players, online games seemed to always be on steroids), but I agree that it feels very sloppy. Finesse dribbling was great in PES, it worked with the same input as special moves and it was subtle, now it looks like a silly dance.

I haven't played PvP yet but I've found the AI games pretty frustrating (played MyLeague yesterday). I don't like the feel of the new game at all. The players are kinda sliding around and the defending is weird. I got to Div3 last time but I doubt I'll do that again, it feels like a downgrade to me.

It's a feee game. They have to fund it, and fund it well somehow. Those people who do pay for players, fund it. As there are a lot of f2p players, they could add a divisions with just the club teams as they are as another option, so everyone has an equal standing of a sqaud.

It is still important but implementation is different. 1) You will not be sprinting as much as in EAFC, so that changes the importance a bit 2) On the ball dribbling and ball control skills affects your movement. 3) On the ball sprinting is heavily penalised, so a player without the ball with much lower speed can often catch up. 4) Other skills also make a massive difference, for example defensive awareness, engagement and aggression might be more important to your player than speed

You can get more powerful versions of the same player depending on how Konami releases them it could in packs which you probably have to buy coins if you don't have coins in your balance, nominating contracts etc. They will have more upgraded stats and increased level caps sometimes
