This is my first time playing Efootball, my highest rated player is 83, I have a very average team but by manually moving my defenders as far back as possible in the squad section, by using the instructions on my DM so he plays as a third CB to stop the through balls and getting my play style to a high level has helped a lot!! A L S O, for any FIFA guys like myself, I’ve found running your guys back is so much better than dragging someone out to challenge

When you're showing off the Anchoring with Vieira you can see (in both clips) that Puyol is just walking around out of position and not engaging defensively. It looks as though he has been assigne d the Counter Target which is why that is happening. Had the Counter Target randomly switch to one of my CBs a few times. Obviously a bug with it somewhere.

first thing that I change that massively stop my team leaking easy goals: Clear the ball instead of passing it around the back or trying to make blind through ball. Just hit it where you think it will be safe. It saves me from numerous error I often make at the back and giveaway the ball too easily to opposition. Just. Clear. The. Ball

Everyone telling that the defense mechanics is bad just used Pressure. This time manual defending is there to learn ( Matchup + Proper switching and not use that pressure button often ) Matchup helps a lot than Pressure button over using

I started playing this game a week ago or so on PC,build a nice team and my best division is DIV3. i used to play PES back in the days of PES 6 and other games and recently played FIFA 20 and FIFA 21. This game could be really good and i'm really trying to learn how to defend but i m getting frustrated now. Every opponent that i play aggainst can insta press my 24/7,my players like Neymar,Pedri cant make a decent pass and often enough in defense i just feel its a sluggish laggy mess cause i click the controls and my players only react to that seconds later. i know we all gonna have a max point of skill we can reach but yeh last 2 days all my opponents playing like AI legend X5.Kinda weird cause i watch streams of ppl playing DIV1 guys on PS and some are not even near the quality of pressing players on PC div 3 and even 4 .

I’m constantly adjusting the attack/defence levels. Really affects the amount of bodies forward & back. Very important in this game now.

Can we only use anchoring while in offensive play? My manager style is already quick counter so do I really need to be playing offensive aswell and be vulnerable to Interceptions and ripped apart ?

I think you are confusing the individual instructions. « Anchoring » and « defensive » are active when in possession of the ball. Viera was between your 2 CBs because of « deep line » instruction, not « anchoring »…

mate i have a question.... my defend always go up front when attacking and very slow to drop back ... any advice or tips for pairing my 2 CB? currently i have van dijk & rudiger but im looking for fast defend that can drop back since van dijk & rudiger so slow

as you can see in the vid, Timber and Kounde are quite fast. If you feel like being caught off guard time and time again, try to go to individual instructions - offensive, set your two CBs to defensive so they won't rush forward to join the attack i.e. they just stay back. I usually pair this with a CDM whom i set to Deep Line in the defensive instruction for solid defence.

There is a serious learning curve and while i would prefer it even more manual, you can stop players in their tracks by learning simple stuff

Learn the manual defending with matchup and switching rather than over pressing that pressure button often , ( L2 match up , L1 switch)

At times and at times, its glorious. I have played 120+ games from the demo, V0.9 to V1.0 and genuinely have had 5-6 games where they were impossible games for me, slow, laggy, inout lag, latency all over the place and I have 1gb donwload and 220 upload as fibre
