I’m so glad I found your channel! I recently became a certified pet nutritionist and after everything I’ve learned, my cat is off all dry foods and is only fed canned food (weruva, PureVita, Fromm, Fussie Cat, or Open Farm), and raw food or gently cooked!

The ingredients low tier in my opinion. I’d recommend apupabove or open farm or small batch for gently cooked and smallbatch, Steve’s real food, primal, tuckers, northwest naturals (I could keep going) for raw food. Hope this helps!

My dogs were always super thirsty and not super interested in eating dry food plus some behavior issues even after 2 years of training. After watching a bunch of your videos I decided to just get a recipe from the vet and cook for them. It is definitely so much more work, costs $150/month more, and had to buy a mini freezer just for them but my dogs are much less thirsty and LOVE eating. The behavior issues are kind of non existent now! Thank you for making these informative videos from our home❤️.

I asked the women at the pet store I shop (Krisers Natural Pet), I asked the difference between stella &Chewy's small breed and the regular, and she said the difference is that the small breed has smaller kibble that may crumble more easily. But she said there is no difference in the ingredients. This is also a question you can email to the pet food company you use. Stella and chewys for example, responded to my inquiry within just a couple of hours. 🖤🐾

Orijen is terrible which causes heart failure in dogs over time. The foods that vets recommend are purina pro plan science diet and royal canine. Canine nutritionist do not have the same credentials as a veterinarian nutritionist. I wouldn't listen to anything on this channel. Also stop reading pet food ingredients. ITS ALL MARKETING TO GET YOURE MONEY!!

Our vet recommended Gentle Giants through Chewy and he’s been doing great on it but I’m worried it may not be as good as I’d like. Your videos are so helpful❤ at first I had one of my dogs eat Purina puppy food and my other dog authority but I did some research and I didn't like the ingredients so I decided to feed both my dogs the BIXBI brand (Lamb and chicken recipe) and they love it 👏🏻 over all the best dog food in my opinion since one of my dogs have allergies since I switched helped with the allergies and taste better! and their brand is great & also their wet food too! It's a-bit pricey but for my fur babys it's worth it 🥰

For working retrievers, I feed the highest fat, highest protein kibble on the market: Red Paw Poweredge 32k. First ingredient is menhaden. A favorite kibble among mushers up here in interior Alaska. Expensive but worth it...525 kcal/cup.

My family has 3 senior & special needs pom mixes and my partner has a husky. All 3 poms have bad poultry allergies. One also has alopecia & can't digest red meats. He's 18 yrs old and has been allergy tested multiple times throughout his life. We mostly have to stick to fish & insect proteins and vegetarian dog food like V Dog or WildEarth. Hell be 19 in April and is doing amazing. We also supplement with additional fresh fish, brown rice & veggies

Most of the employees use it because they get a discount but overall it’s not a good quality food. Corn and byproducts in the 1st 5 ingredients

Do you know anything about the Victor dog food line? My GS is 8. She became my baby at 8 weeks. She was fed Victor for several years. Then suddenly started having loose poops. We are constantly goi g from chicken and rice with pro and pre biotics. . Along with a little pumpkin. She checks for just a few days and the. We are back again. Vet did 300.00 in labs. Says she is in excellent health and wants to put her on a prescription diet. First she recommended Hills sensetive stomach. Doesn’t help at all. I think it’s junk. Now she wants me to do the prescription diet. I have refused after reading the ingredients. I’m really at my wits end. She is my best friend. I’m 65 and it’s just the two of us. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for a great informative video

Have you ever heard of Fromm? I’ve been feeding my dogs that for ever… I just switched to Dr. Marty’s Natures blend, but it is getting too expensive because the biggest bag they have is 16 Oz!! I am getting Dr. Marty’s supplement powder to put overtop of a kibble due to the cost of the food from Dr. Marty’s, kills me to do so because my dogs LOVE it!!

QUESTION! First of all thank you so much for the video. We have three dogs that have been doing great on Castor and Pollux dog food for years and years. One of our dogs lived to 17 on this food healthily, we have a 15-year-old pup who has eaten nothing but Castor and pullox and she is going strong and still chasing squirrels with no meds or dysplasia or anything.. Now they’ve discontinued our dog food, 😢 we have a few bags we’ve hoarded, but are looking for good parallel to that dog food. Do you have any suggestions?

I've been studying animal nutrition for years as well. One thing here I don't like here is your ranking of the Liberty food. Can't forget that the chicken as the first ingredient is by weight before the cooking process, so I suspect the lentils is probably the first ingredient by weight as a finished product. Still better than most I guess, but as an exclusive DIY raw feeder, I have a hard time praising ANY kibble. Great content for kibble feeders to do better, and I have shared some of your videos on my FB page.

Having two English bulldogs that can be the pickiest of eaters, I started buying skin on chicken thighs when they are on sale and boiling up 4 or 5 and then shredding the meat off the bone. I use the broth created from boiling to make brown rice mixed with peas, diced carrots and green beans and the shredded chicken meat. I now have 5 days worth of meals for them and they wolf it all down like a kid with Halloween candy. My wife has recently started making them baked treats consisting of oatmeal, peanut butter and canned pumpkin which they'll now eat before any commercial treat. my Our vet approves of this diet as they are getting their nutrients and especially since they are prone to being overweight.
