Dusty springfield...Good call, she has somewhat of a terrible singing voice, and its one thing I'll say negative about Neil tennant...Also the PSB made a pathetic mix about Flamboyant...I think they did it intentionally, cuz I think they knew they most likely wouldn't lose a fan !! :):) Dusty sings like she is a habitual smoker :(:(

Is it me or is the audio fading in and out, almost like a ping-pong effect? Yes, by the end I clearly hear the phasing. Definitely, not a good recording of it.

This happens when two recordings are played at the same time and the sound waves cancel each other out (phase cancellation). They should be using EQ adjustment to prevent it, or just don't play two recordings at the same time like a proper edit would be.

It sounds like an intentional "ducking" effect to me. See "Ducking" on Wikipedia for an explanation.

@@zoomosis I looked up 'ducking' (thanks for mentioning it, that was interesting), but this recording just sounds too terrible for this to have been done deliberately? It sounds more like an audio error. PSB productions are always pristine.

This "extended" version doesn't even exist, it's just a very bad mix with awful effects, not HQ at all!
