Wow, this is great. I missed out on Relentless and was always envious of a coworker at my first real job who managed to buy the double CD of Very Relentless. I had only just discovered PSB as a young college student and was in love with the Very album. Fortunately, he shared with me the CD and I had the MP3 rip of the tracks for many years but lost them in a hard drive crash a few years ago. Now, finally a chance to get them again.

So, it is September 1993, and I am one and a half month before I turn 20 and two months before the death of my mother, from cancer, at 47. And Very - Relentless is released, and I know that there is not only uncertainty and confusion and hardship in the world... and that life is much more than running away or reacting, automatically, to adversities. And now I am almost 50, and music is still my other plane of existence, almost equally important to the real one. Thanks to the Pet Shop Boys, amongst others. So, thank you Neil and Chris.

I have the original Relentless from whence it came out on CD back in 1993, and I've got it twice now (digital and CD). The remastering on this 2023 newly polished version is amazing. You can hear so many more different elements to the tracks now. My Head Is Spinning on its own sounds like it's got more plug ins than a BT record. Love it.

I love Relentless very much. But the jaggy pixellation of the visualization here is more 1982 Atari than 1993 Pet Shop Boys, when they did some really cool smooth computer-generated imagery for the time. I myself was slaving away on an Apple Quadra 840av trying to do great graphics and animation back then, it was difficult and slow. But it was a quantum leap from the 80s state of the art, this video gets it wrong. 1993-94 computer animation was better than this, this look 80s.
