Es necesario un GRAMMY para los Pet Shop Boys, uno de los pocos grupos que ha creado letras exquisitas con temas históricos, políticos, literarios y artísticos. «My October Symphony» es una referencia al compositor Dmitri Shostakóvich y a todo lo que pudo defraudar, con el devenir del tiempo, las revoluciones soviéticas, siendo muy significativo en este aspecto ese juego sutil de palabras sobre «revolución» y «revelación». La puesta en escena que realizaron los Pet Shop Boys en 1991 para la gira mundial denominada «Performance» fue una alegoría muy icónica, una obra de arte y simbología con mucha belleza y connotaciones visuales y políticas. Geniales Neil Tennant y Chris Lowe, como siempre.

even PSB themselves have promoted and approved of Blade Mixes. though you're entitled to your opinion and I welcome countering feedback. Personally I really love this remix and similar fan edits. This one takes me somewhere that I can't go with much else. That ambient sound that drifts away. The piano riff, the choir sound just after 5:20 is totally PSB. The arpeggios compliment the original feel of the song perfectly. Once you're familiar with the original track and you hear this, it's a perfect indulgence. It has bits of the original song recreated so you get to enjoy them in a fuller, more complete way. So it's respectful of the original and only builds off it. No idea how someone would dislike it, in my genuine opinion. It's a perfect extended mix with the right amount of originality.
