Because it isn't part of the corporate sound now being promoted. A few "artists" are promoted in each teen cycle, and all other music must support these "stars". This kind of music would collapse the entire current program. When I shared the 80's playlist with my grandkids, they were shocked how amazing the music was back then. They had never heard any of it.
