A rarity. A perfect pop piece - wonderful, wistful lyrics and passionate, persistent vocals; pulsating yet restrained keyboards; a fetching bass line; a brilliant horn and string arrangement; deliberate and charming repetition. Probably PSB's best single moment and a critical revival for Dusty Springfield. Win-win for all involved.

True and that was also the last great generation of British acts. After that they've produced a few good ones on and off but never a whole generation like the one that came along in the eighties. These days Adele passes as the best Britain has to offer, which says it all.
