in the summer of 1996 somewhere in SC can't rember the towns name i was working for roberts brother circus when peta showed up in cute furry costumes. and man it was hot that day around 99 deg with high humidity . They came to protest for our cage tigers and bears . The only tigers and bears we had were stuff animals being sold at the novety stand -_- . but to make matters worse they tryed to rush the elephant to make it scared and rear up in fright which didn't work because the elephant handler was carrying a .45 pistol and had draw it on them. funny thin is two of them piss thier costumes

I've always seen Pokemon as friends and more that they're learning martial arts/ how to fight. That YOU, the human, are like their mentor or sensei. Pokemon are more then capable of hurting their trainer and certainly would be able to kill them. So it's not like they're enslaved or are being FORCED to fight, like with actual Dog Fights. Unlike actual dogs who partake in that, Pokemon are super powered animals with the forces of nature, energy, and even psychic abilities all for THEM to use to kill US. So unlike real animals, Pokemon are NOT defenseless. Just like with martial arts/ fighting, the pokemon CHOOSES to go to battle alongside their mentor calling out the moves THEY'VE BEEN TAUGHT to use, and help them become stronger. Some species of Pokemon can't even evolve without gaining XP from battles, it's literally what they NEED to survive, to grow faster, stronger, and better. Also, just like with fighting, the more practice you get, the better you become, increasing stamina and establishing your fighting technique, just like how your Pokemon learn moves best suited for its typing/personality, "You teach me, and I'll teach you" Pokemon is about GROWING together. The Trainer learns how compassion can make the Pokemon care for you and want to learn from you and reach their full power(max evolution/ Mega evolve) and the Pokemon learns about what their potential is, how learning from others can improve oneself and what they can do/become. and that's just an observation I made in just playing the games, I only referenced the anime theme because I honestly believe it is THE PERFECT Pokemon theme, it sums up what Pokemon is IN GENERAL. Both covering the themes of the video games and the anime all in one song.

BUT think about Doc Louis and Little Mac in Punch Out, and how Mac's Coach gives him tips on what to do during the fight, similar to how the Trainer tells the Pokemon what moves to use in a battle. In other words, Mac is relying on Louis, just like how the pokemon are relying on you, and just like with a boxing match, a Pokemon battle, is just a good 'ol "boxing match" to see who gets KOd first.

I am a animal rights activist through and through, but PETA does in fact have a point.BUT, when it is clear no one cares about your point and that you are just wasting your time when you could be doing something else, you should just let it go. Seal clubbing hasn't existed for over a decade (not in the regulated industry that gets attacked by protesters)... sealing is a far more humane industry than the beef, pork chicken or name any other meat that's used. Seals at least live in freedom until the day they're killed, and quickly, with guns, and used for far more than just furs. Also baby seals are not killed, all those pictures you see with baby seals... yea, they're fine, they survive...
