Great report. As a pommy who has a great love of Australia, I find the consequences of the net zero push on the country, alarming and depressing. From my last trip to Australia, in '81, an abiding memory is the pristine vastness of the country. How it's possible to travel for hours without encountering another human, or any signs of civilisation. To destroy your country's natural beauty to save the environment is totally illogical. Unless of course you look at financial benefits, and who gets them. Follow the money, and you have a target to pressure. We in the UK are about to go through this same stupidity, with a solar factory recently given permission to be installed on farm land. Labour will pass legilation to weaken our appeals process, so that it will be harder for the public to resist new renewable installations. In other words, we don't care about you. We will have our way. Both Labour and Labor governments are intent on ignoring logic and the will of the people. Who's doctrine are they following, and where were they indoctrinated? I can't help feeling that our governments are pawns in a bigger game. Because destroying the environment to protect it makes no sense. To relegate your centuries old reliable generating source, to a back up roll, for an unreliable generating source makes no sense. Claiming to want to protect the environment, by installing an unreliable generating system, with a vastly greater footprint than your previous energy source, makes no sense. When you consider that both our countries emissions are inconsequential, non of this net zero rubbish makes any sense. Unless you follow the money. Or am I missing something?

Hmmm. To me it has all the tell tale signs of standover heavy handed union tactics used in the cities now being employed by LABOR . Using is same tactics on our counties farmers and taking over farming land by force

Exactly. What a massive contradiction. Stop.mass immigration so we don't need massive increases in electricity production maybe!

Labor is anti-Australian. They should never have been voted in. Their behaviour is reprehensible but then what do you expect from a Party controlled by Union thugs.

Vote for the Greens and the Teals then Labor will be will in and our country will be in a depression not recession. It is in your hands folks, a decisive win for LNP will also give them a strong message that they must listen and work for the Australians that voted them in.

Thanks, Peta, The Australian people must open their eyes, and many have. The farmers' future is our future. We are intertwined. We must back our farmers and stop this desecration of the land and the hand that feeds us. We can not allow billions more to be wasted on this fantasy. Putting Australia's food security at risk, this will destroy the Australian economy, high inflation for longer, and everything will keep getting much more expensive, not to mention future generations will be saddled with crushing dept. We must vote these greedy corporations out, and this government out !!! 🙏🙏🙏
