Just a heads up to anyone taking note...don't push your oasis into the water. Air bubbles will get into it and your flowers won't be able to drink up water as they should! 😀 Also, if you leave the oasis 1 inch or so higher then the rim you will likely use less product and the design will flow easier as you won't be reaching stems up and over the vessel.

Appreciate your feedback. There are many ways to do flowers. I’ve done it this way for over 10 years. Never have I had a problem with air bubbles preventing arrangements from staying fresh. To each their own! 😁

There's definitely a wrong and a right way to hydrate your Oasis - they teach you on their website. Never push it down because of the air bubble :) #themoreyouknow
@kellywilson34755 жыл бұрын
As others have mentioned, but is extremely important for your flowers, do not push the floral foam into the water. You will get air pockets and your flowers will not have water. Let it soak gradually on its own speed. Also, add floral nutrient to the water before soaking your foam. These are key for longer-lasting flowers. After the arrangement is complete, don’t forget to add floral nutrient water every day to keep the flowers hydrated. If you need to reinsert a flower or greenery, give the stem a fresh cut before reinserting into a different spot in the Oasis.

I think you make beautiful arrangements. Now that im constantly watching flower arrangements, I can get some flowers while grocery shopping instead of stopping to admire the flowers or passing by the flower Dept at the store without buying nothing. May start building my vessel collection little by little.

Beautiful & whimsical!Dahlias are gooorg! NEVER force your foam! Can cause air pockets of dry foam on the inside & can choke the flowers. Just place foam on the water & let gravity pull it down. Takes ~2mins you'll see it turn dark green meaning it's saturated 💗 Tip: If you leave an inch of foam above the rim, you create more horizontal spacing to work with. Warm water will get foam soaked faster; hydrangea don't typically like foam so you can do the greens 3-4 days before u need the centerpiece then add hydrangea day before & spritz with water day off.

Nice video but as a professional florist I should tell you that if you let the oasis stick out the container by an inch or more you will have more horizontal space to place your flowers .

Just beautiful! I have a question. Every other flower site I have watched say to drop the oasis in the water and let it sink on its own to ensure the whole piece absorbs water. They also say to never push it down( like you did) , what are your thoughts on this?

Any florist KNOWS that you DO NOT push the floral foam into the water as to AVOID AIR BUBBLES IN THE FOAM which does not allow for proper water absorption thus allowing for full stem absorption throughout all floral stems and entire arrangement. You simply place the foam atop the water and ALLOW the foam to slowly and completely absorb the water ON ITS OWN . And always cut stems at an angle before insertion . BTW BEAUTIFUL ARRANGEMENT. 👌
