Petal is a Max for Live multi-tap delay that draws any sound into an ever-unfolding garden. The core of Petal is its eight-tap delay, evenly spaced at the dialed in delay time. Individual taps can be toggled on or off to create irregular rhythmic delays.
The X-Y Shaping pad distorts the tap delay times in interesting ways. The Y-axis shifts the tap delay times from equidistant (linear) spacing to skewed (sigmoid) spacing. The X-axis skews the tap delay times closer to either tap 1 or tap 8.
Each tap can be pitch-shifted up or down in perfect 5ths or octaves. Play a handful of notes and listen as it evolves into a rich harmonic background. The FFT pitch-shifting circuit provides clean pitch-shifting without any tonal coloration.
Feeling uninspired? Tap the dice to generate endless pitch-shifting and tap on/off combinations.
Add feedback and hear the delay pattern dance around. Petal uses a separate delay line in its feedback circuit, which can be set to individual tap length.
Introducing character to Petal is easy: a no-nonsense filter for effortless tonal shaping, delay time modulation using the Wobble parameter, and soft clipping to add rich harmonics to the input signal.

I'm very intrigued by your devices! But I wish the music in your presentation videos was a bit more clearly correlated to what is modulated in the device, that the effect was made more apparent by the choice of sound for the presentation. I don't really feel that I have a clear sense of how your devices are going to effect a sound, because the music in your videos is a bit too ambient/busy/layered/subtle. Perhaps also include some more "boring" sounds to get a better sense of what's going on, perhaps some different ones. I want to buy your devices, but I don't feel confident knowing how they will sound. Foil2 looks interesting also, but I've been waiting for someone to make a clearer video first. Nonetheless, looks like very cool devises! Love the design!

One thought.. If plugin doesn't have any video reviews on KZbin, what does it mean? For me it looks suspicious, despite how good this exact video looks. You either have poor marketing, either poor product. Which one is it? :) I sincerely think that it's first one. But doubt doesn't allow me to spend $ for this plug-in 🤷‍♂️

Absolutely. Reverse delay would be a little outside of this devices design, but ducking is something I'll definitely bring in the future!

Copy Track, reverse Sample and turn on/off delays you want forward/reverse. May be working?

Absolutely, I'm working on a universal mod matrix for all of my devices that will be rolled out in subsequent updates!

problems persist until the very latest version of this device. please check the behavior of the dry/wet control when being mapped within an effect rack :)

Push 3 Standalone doesn’t currently support M4L, but is for the controller!

@@rainbowcircuit Of course it is! I do have one, and a lot of M4L devices are working on the standalone version. It would be great to have this. Would you be able to adapt it to the Push S. ?

⁠@@rainbowcircuit⁠ I agree with Gregzyeppa. From what I’m seeing after purchasing this device, it’s not a matter of if it can work on the P3 standalone, it’s just a matter of configuring it to do so. Currently none of the parameters are mapped. Hopefully the set up will be done in a future release. I really like the potential of this device, but I don’t tether to the computer for composition anymore, so this doesn’t do anything for me.

So Push 3 only currently supports Max devices that are built in, or are license-included content. Ableton has a statement on the compatibility issues that are far outside of my control... you can read their statement here: help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/8506527153308-Push-standalone-Max-for-Live-Device-Compatibility

@@rainbowcircuitbut still you should support push with your devices. The price is comparable high and it’s kind of disappointing if you buy a device and there are no parameter showing up on the push screen.
