Beautiful implied petals! But mine......I have to do it again. I'm not loose enough but I'm going to get it. I'm the 83 year old still learning. I think I'll listen to it again before I try it again. I have studied roses a lot and tried to follow books but your videos have really helped me. Thank you so much!

I'm in Heaven watching you create such beautiful florals! Your thoughtful conversations re growth , style, frustration etc is very helpful and encouraging. It allows me to think someday I'll be able to look back & see some tremendous growth. I can see some already. Only practicing and absorbing all of what I can understand at my level will push me along. But, it takes a teacher as yourself to share the truth of the journey with humble expertise to motivate & inspire a beginner as myself. We as your followers are so grateful for your patience & understanding.

I love when you encourage us to not give up. I always get very upset, frustrated, upset and aaaaaaangry when I am done with my rose. Just because it doesn't look like yours. Hearing those words from an artist like you make me keep working on it harder.

I love all your paintings thank you love the video and the fact that the lady gave you the book. I wondered how you knew about so many roses. Such a fabulous gift. I love all your paintings and if people don't have anything nice to say then they shouldn't say it at all. I however happened love them all particularly the Roses so thank you sir thank you very much for taking the time to teach us. And I'm glad I just made an order learning that the pigment is the price is going to go up on the paint so I'm glad I just ordered some thank you. And the fella David that I speak to all the time is absolutely wonderful as are you. God bless stay safe and keep painting

Wow! To say that I learn every time I watch one of your videos (Just a few 10 or 20 times😋) is the understatement of the century! I must have ooo'd and aaah'd a hundred times watching as each stroke, jab...of your brush or finger changed and revealed the rose, blossoms and greenery. I love all YOUR styles but the impressionistic rose is my favorite. You have taught me that you can take one subject and paint it a thousand different ways. I hope you don't mind but I've taken on your motto of trying things that are hard to make yourself grow. I've always felt that way I just never put it into words...which is weird since I'm working on two books right now. Even though I'm just really learning how to paint a rose from you, I have started my own style. I'm a avid fluid art painter so my backgrounds for trying to paint a rose is done in that sort of modern fluid look. I think you would really like it because it has the same feel as your backgrounds. I love that you tell stories and talk before and while you are painting because I learn a lot from everything you say. Thank you for sharing your hard work and yes I'm going to say talent. I get to soak in all those years you spent learning. That is and you are special! 😊💎💎💎💎💎

No teacher ever took up the subject of roses so readily, and generously, with their students. I'm from India and David Jansen's rose art classes are by far the best I have come across so far. I appreciate the time you have taken out to teach us newbies your wonderful approach to roses. The fact that I'm able to learn this for free, is just (for me) a miracle. Thanks for making your classes so accessible.

Another great informative video. I always come away with at least 1 pure gold nugget of information or helpful hint. Started following your videos 6 months ago at start of COVID lockdown and have been practicing every afternoon. At first it was hard to see progress but now when I compare current attempts to earlier attempts I can see huge improvements. But as they say - never rest on your laurels! Looking forward to more practice, practice. Keep those nuggets coming please, let’s fill the Bank of England vaults! Many thanks

Another beautiful painting. Finding the balance with the implied petals and the more realistic is my struggle. I always try to paint each petal perfectly.
